San Clemente Pier — Attraction in San Clemente

Really appreciate being able to take the train RIGHT here! Can take either Amtrak or Metrolink. The unfortunate thing is you cant stay here late if youre taking the train here That really hinders our ability to have a good time here and shop, hang out, or even just have dinner. Make sure to check what time the last train leaves or you'll be sorry!

It's a very beautiful spot with shopping and dining nearby and sometimes even a shuttle to help get you to the Outlets.

Also seems to be a safe neighborhood - thank God! I heard that the locals fought very hard to get the bums out and make it a safer, cleaner place for everyone. I think their efforts paid off - I did not see any criminal transients when we were here.

I did see one small safety issue regarding the rr crossing. There is a train horn recording that plays every time a train approaches the station, as opposed to the horn being on board the train itself. This was distracting and made several pedestrians look the wrong way when the train was coming. Seems distracting and a bit unsafe. Better to let the on board train horn sound the way they...

San Clemente Pier has a lot to offer. On the pier you have a restaurant and at the beginning of the pier there is a takeout cafe. We tried the takeout cafe for the first time and if you like a tuna sandwich, this place in my opinion has the best tuna sandwich that I’ve ever laid my taste buds with. On the pier you can watch the surfers & bodyboarders. There’s also a little food cafe that serves burgers as you make your way halfway through the pier with cleans restrooms. This was our first time taking the train to San Clemente pier. A heads up that if you decide to do that in the summer, the train was packed and you may have to stand...

Nice day at the beach. Warm but needed a shirt. Beach is clean and plenty of lifeguard staff on duty and they seemed attentive. We just enjoyed the sand and beach. The pier was not crowded. Beach was somewhat busy but very nice. Wish it could be the same simple crowd when the sun is out but people come out when the sun is out.

Convenient close bathrooms and food is close. We brought our own food but saw many leave and come back quickly with food and it appeared they liked it.
