Brophy Art Gallery in San Clemente is more than just an art space—it’s a portal into a vibrant, soul-stirring world. Drew Brophy’s artwork pulses with energy, surf culture, and cosmic symbolism, each piece telling a story that pulls you in deeper the longer you look. But what truly elevates the gallery is Drew himself—an amazing and inspiring human being with a mind as expansive as the universe. I could literally sit and talk with him for hours about life, energy, existence—you name it—and have done so. Every conversation leaves you charged, thinking bigger and feeling more connected.
Maria Brophy, Drew’s wife and partner in both life and business, is equally incredible. She does a phenomenal job running the gallery with professionalism, warmth, and a clear passion for the work they’re putting into the world. Her presence brings a sense of grounded strength that complements Drew’s cosmic flow. Together, they’ve created a space that’s not only visually stunning, but emotionally and spiritually enriching. Whether you’re an art lover, a seeker of inspiration, or just someone walking in off the street, the Brophy Art Gallery will leave a lasting impression. It's a must-visit gem in San Clemente that radiates...
Read moreFirst of all Drew Brophy's work speaks for itself. I have been a fan since I moved to San Clemente. When classes or "art parties" began, I jumped on the opportunity. As an artist there are not many group activities available like this. Unlike many artists, Drew is completely comfortable sharing his techniques. I started just for fun and started with a "Fish Eye" painting. It was fun so each week I just did another fish eye. Each one got better and next thing I knew I was painting pufferfish, wholphins, aliens, wolves, starfish and more. When I shared them the response was surprisingly enthusiastic. Eventually I was approached by someone who has licensed this series to sell as stickers, patches and more! Additionally the Brophy's are so friendly and I feel like family every time I go to a show, class, party or event. if you get a chance to attend the next event or class, I highly recommend...
Read moreFalse advertising beware! They are passing off their Posca marker set as a special edition but it’s generic and has zero special branding. I could have bought the same set for a lot cheaper but I paid more because I believed the pictures and thought it was branded with Drew Brophy and his art. Even worse the pdf download book I bought was a corrupted file so I couldn’t even read it. I tried reaching out to customer support for weeks and haven’t gotten a single response. The whole situation has been very disappointing. They have enough time to spam my email inbox with promotions but not enough time to respond to a...
