Here's what you need to know before visiting Adams Community Park. This park is run by two public entities: San Diego Unified School District and San Diego Parks and Recreation. With this, you get the worst of both worlds. There are no posted hours and no defined operating times. The field is opened sporadically to public if and when they feel like it. There are roughly five entrances to this park but they are usually padlocked shut with maybe one or two doors open. Also, be careful because they'll close the gates with you inside--I witnessed this myself when I helped a gentleman get out of the park after he was locked inside during the middle of a hot, summer, weekend day.
