Parabola Coffee Roasting Co. — Restaurant in San Diego

Parabola is a really wonderful addition to the North Park coffee establishments. The owners (who you often find working behind the counter themselves, though they recently added two new employees) are incredibly knowledgeable about their products and have made great recommendations for which style of their roasted beans would be a good fit for me and my partner. And the coffees and espresso drinks are delicious and have some of the best prices in the neighborhood. They’re located inside Second Chance Brewing, so they typically open those garage-style doors, which makes for plenty of socially distanced indoor/outdoor space to study or work (great WiFi, in my experience!). Great coffee shop/brewery! Came here with my dog to do some remote work, and we were pleasantly surprised that dogs are allowed inside 💕 The coffee is great (had their chagalatte and a cup of decaf) and the chocolate croissant I had with it was delicious. Also! They don’t blast the music, so you don’t have to work with headphones all the time, and it wasn’t too loud for me to take a couple video meetings. It’s got everything except good coffee. Location is nice, service friendly, good price, and great vibe. However, the cappuccino was pretty acrid. I think the beans must have been burnt trying to get a darker roast. Also, the milk foam wasn’t mixed with the drink at all and has that big-bubble stiffness you get with cheap steamers.
