I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is beautiful, but unfortunately, my experience fell short.
I walked in around 2 PM on a Friday the salon wasn’t too busy. I asked if they accepted walk-in pedicures and was told yes. However, shortly after, the place began to get busy. If they didn’t truly have the time, I would’ve much preferred they ask me to come back or schedule an appointment. Instead, I was rushed through the entire service.
My feet barely soaked—one foot was placed in the water while the other was being clipped, and neither soaked for more than two minutes total. The cuticle care was minimal, and when I asked for proper sidewall cleaning to remove debris and trim to help prevent ingrown nails, the technician rushed through it. I asked twice, and both times she barely checked before moving on.
The mediocre included massage lasted six minutes—the longest part of the pedicure—and even that felt more like a formality than something meant to be enjoyed. The polish application was sloppy, with uneven coverage, polish on my skin, and still-visible, uncleaned cuticles.
After the polish, she quickly moved on to another client. About 10 minutes later, another woman came to check my toes, said they weren’t fully dry but told me to just be careful, and sent me to the register. Someone else was immediately placed in the chair I had just vacated.
Overall, the experience was rushed, impersonal, and not worth the money. For reference I got the classic pedicure with regular polish for $33. I came in hoping to find a new regular salon for a relaxing, thorough pedicure with professional attention to detail—this was not it. It’s a shame, because the salon itself is beautiful, and I had high hopes of...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal and regular customer at this salon for quite a while and have always had a great experience with at least four different technicians. Each time, I received the same service, paid the same price, and left happy.
Unfortunately, this time was different — and disappointing. I was assigned to someone I’ve seen before but never felt comfortable letting work on my nails. I believe he might be the manager. Right from the start, I felt uneasy. The way he held my hand — with long nails digging into my skin and bones — was actually painful, and I had a gut feeling this wasn’t going to be a good experience. Still, I tried to be patient.
Midway through, I noticed he didn’t clean the dead skin around my nails — something that’s always been included. When I asked about it, he said it would be an extra charge. I told him it’s always included and done by everyone else I’ve seen, not just at this salon but in general. He pushed back, saying it’s a “skin treatment” and asked me to name the staff who’ve done it for free before — which felt very inappropriate. I clarified that I wasn’t asking for a treatment, just basic cuticle cleaning, which should be standard, especially when I’m paying $60 for a regular service.
At that point, I told him to forget it. I didn’t want any conflict, but it left a sour taste. Then, at the very end, he applied a basic cuticle oil — which is always part of the standard finish — and to my surprise, I was charged another $5 for that.
This whole experience felt like a bait-and-switch, and it was the first time I ever walked out of this place feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I really hope management takes this seriously because if this is the new direction, I won’t...
Read moreI came in today with my sister to get a pedicure and our nails done. I showed a picture of what I wanted but didn’t get the result I asked for. I didn’t want to make a big deal, so I let it go. I paid with a card, and my sister paid in cash immediately after her pedicure.
As we were walking out, my nail tech stopped us and asked my sister, “Are you going to pay?” — basically accusing her of stealing. They even followed us outside. My sister had already paid in cash, and the owner later confirmed this and said we were fine to leave.
They were speaking in their language the entire time, being rude and unprofessional. The whole situation felt racist — as if they assumed we were stealing because of how we look. It was humiliating and completely unacceptable.
They need a better system to track payments instead of racially profiling customers. We will never be...
