I was stressed out ordering because I was afraid I wouldn’t get the best possible thing (for my own taste), so obviously I over-ordered. To be fair I’m used to eating avocado rolls and I can eat a lot of those. The menu was impressive and I think if I could do it again I would stick to simpler rolls. I love a mock tuna. But less ingredients is my own preference. It was really great to see such a creative and exciting vegan sushi menu. For my review, atmosphere is hard to gauge because this is a to go only, pick up from a locker kitchen. There’s not really an atmosphere to be had but there is novelty in the experience. I recommended reviewing the menu ahead of time so you don’t experience the same fomo I did while ordering at the kiosk!

AMAZING VEGAN SUSHI!!!! I ordered 3 rolls, KONA roll, unagi roll, and the Panama roll. They were all good, but the KONA roll was the best. I ordered it because it has thin sliced lemon on top, so fresh, so good. Definitely get the KONA roll. I was a bummed when I first showed up and realized you have to order on your phone or at the kiosk and can’t really ask anybody about the menu items or if they have a bathroom. So I sat in my rental car for 20 minutes deciding what to get from google reviews and the menu. I finally orders don my phone and it took about 15-20 minutes to be made. I would 100% recommend to order 20 minutes before you show up. I would 100% eat here again. Too bad I don’t live here. Very close to SDSU

My husband is a super foodie so he just has places saved to try and the fact that I’m currently going through treatment and have to stay away from actual sushi (cause I’m a maniac for it) this place was heaven sent. The roll was sooo good I literally couldn’t tell the difference from plant base vs actual sushi. I will definitely be a returning customer . Great job guys , definitely keep it up 👍🏾 oh and dipping sauce was everything!!! Oh yeah sorry we ordered the crunchy roll w/ garlic aioli sauce, the sauce is fuego 🔥🔥🔥!

After a long day of being out with the family and having an incredibly unsatisfying dinner at a restaurant that was supposed to be good, I was hungry and tired and in the mood for something satisfying. I came across Gorilla Eats Sushi and did a double-take when I realized it was vegan! I am vegetarian and I love a good veg sushi. The menu looked so good, and I could have easily over-ordered, but I settled on two rolls - spicy tuna roll made crunchy and an avocado roll, side of spicy mayo. My order was ready within 10 mins and I had to pick it up from a brick-and-mortar version of Uber Eats (if that makes sense). This was all new for me as I'm from NYC and we can pick up food from a restaurant or have it delivered, but never had a restaurant deliver to another place and I pick up from there. Anyway, the lady was really nice and she had my chopsticks and extra soy sauce and ginger so I was happy. The sushi was SO good. It was filling, I could not finish it all, and I was tempted to wake up my husband to try it, but decided to be selfish and save it for myself for lunch the next day. Thankful I came across this place and got to try it while...

My husband and I almost didn’t order here once we got there because we didn’t realize it was take-out only, but I am so glad we did. This sushi is amazing, and the nigiri was so realistic I got nervous for a second that it was real. We got the salmon nigiri, umami roll, Philadelphia roll, and the Panama roll and they were all amazing but the Panama and the Philadelphia were my favorites. Ordering was easy on the touch screens outside, and our order only took about 15-20 minutes to be ready. They send you a link to unlock a locker at the front of the store to pick it up which was super easy. I will definitely be coming back!! So good if you’re eating vegan, just want to try plant-based sushi, or as an option for anyone who is pregnant and having a...
