As someone who's lived in the M.E. for a long time, let me tell you, Abraj Mediterranean Restaurant is a true gem! Stepping inside, or even just tasting their food, transports me right back. This isn't just "close" to authentic; for me, it's the closest thing to true Middle Eastern flavor I've found outside the region. Every dish tastes like it's made with genuine passion and traditional recipes. What really makes Abraj special is the owner. He's incredibly hands-on and genuinely one of the nicest people you'll meet. He's often on his own, handling everything, so yes, preparing your order might take a little extra time. But let me assure you, it is absolutely worth the wait. You can tell he takes immense pride in his work; the food is always prepared with meticulous care, cleanly, and beautifully presented. Whenever I'm having cravings for Middle Eastern food, this is my absolute go-to. It's not just delicious; it's also really affordable, and you get a generous amount of food! A perfect example of his kindness? My daughter absolutely adores his rice, and he consistently gives her extra, free of charge. It's these small, heartfelt gestures that truly set him apart. I sincerely hope this wonderful business prospers and that its legacy continues for generations. It's places like Abraj, these fantastic small businesses, that truly make our community better. Do yourself a favor and try it!

Decided on a whim to check this place out as we love mediterranean food but wanted to try something new. Came here on a Sunday night at around 6 pm and there was only one person working, taking orders and cooking. Maybe it was the owner, we are not sure. The service was very welcoming, and it felt like we were eating at a relative’s house. It’s a small restaurant with four tables in a strip mall. It took about 40 minutes for the food because of only one person working and also multiple other take out orders coming in PLUS he made everything fresh! You could hear him working in the kitchen and you could really taste that the food was made fresh and very authentically. We got the vegetarian platter that came with a lentil soup, dolmas, pitas, falafel and a salad, we also got a tabbouleh and the eggplant chips. Everything was so good we were so glad we came! Highly recommend this place and we will add this to our mediterranean favorite spots.

Have ordered the Chicken kabob dinner many times, food is always fresh, flavorful and generous portions. Never disappointed. The chicken is moist and full of flavor, the rice is well cooked and flavorful, the hummus has a nice light flavor and consistency. The dinner plate is enough to share or have another meal later. Definitely recommend! I have a gluten (wheat) allergy and was very happy that almost everything on the menu is gluten free except the Lentil soup, gyros, pita bread and Kufta, My partner has had the lentil soup and pita bread; he said soup had good flavor and consistency. He's had the Gyro dinner plate and said it was flavorful and a good portion. Highly recommend Abraj!

On a whim, my partner and I stopped by this place last night because I remembered that a friend had said it was good. Since it's classic "street food" we figured we'd pop in and grab take out in a couple of minutes. We probably should have called ahead as it took a little while and it's awkward to just loiter around.

But when we tasted our food I discovered that it was well worth the wait! Everything was so fresh and carefully prepared. The falafel was perfectly fluffy and crispy, the pita very fresh and soft, and the generously sized sandwich was packed with top quality veggies. I love falafel but other places make it so dense that I get a stomach ache...but not here. I don't know how they get it so airy!

My partner had the gyro which he said was delicious too.

I thought we had ordered a side of garlic fries to share, but instead only his meal had fries (I could see afterward that I hadn't communicated this very well). So I do wish we'd ordered more fries because they were so good. Next time I'll make sure to order some of my own. :)

Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. We will definitely be back! I only wish they had outdoor seating as I have bad lungs and...
