HANDS DOWN, MY FAVORITE WING PLACE!

I haven't always been a chicken wing kinda gal, but I KEEP coming back for more here! I've only ever heard great things about this place so I was pretty excited when my friends were in town and wanted to try it out.

The first time I came, I split a 20 ct basket with a friend. We had Seoul Wing, Dirty Ranch, Lemon Pepper and Fireball. Dirty Ranch and Lemon Pepper were my favorite from this basket. I came back with my fiance a few weeks after and I just craved the Dirty Ranch wings, so had a basket of 10 to myself. Hahah!

The last time we came, we came on a Monday night during the AYCE wings. I mean, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF AYCE WINGS? I literally saved my appetite for this night! It's on Monday's from 6PM to close and it's $13.99. They first bring out 10 wings and then 5 per basket after the initial one. Also, you only get carrots and celery on your first basket.

They've got great specials throughout the week: Mondays: AYCE Wings 6pm to close Tuesdays: 1/2 off wings and domestic beer pitchers Wednesdays: 1/2 domestic beer pitchers and pizza 6pm to close Thursdays: $4 Craft and local beer 6pm to close Fridays: $3 wells and domestic pints 6pm to close Saturday & Sundays: $15 domestic buckets | $10 Champagne Bottles | $2 Mimosas all day

Service is ALWAYS fast and great, so come ready with your appetite!

I used to come to Dirty Birds often over the last 8 years, but the prices are diabolical at this point. A 10 piece wing is $21.50 during regular hours. Paying $2.15 per wing should be a felony, but that's not where the price gouging ends. They now make you pay a 4% surcharge for all meals and they have increased prices on the menu, so we're just getting double hit on the price increase. Oh you want ranch with your wings? That'll be $1. The Happy Hour menu has gotten way worse as you buy one get one 50% off. Just for some quick math buying 20 wings during Happy Hour costs about $1.80 per wing and $2.40 per wing during regular hours. This includes surcharges and taxes, and not tip. This place price gouges and tries to confuse with menu "specials", it's a shame it got this bad. I've never seen prices so high for wings. Wings are fine dining according to Dirty Birds. A 4% surcharge should be illegal. I will not ever come back here until prices are fixed. I hope this review helps the average person really understand what is being done at Dirty Birds. Also, the service is never great. I always feel like I am bothering my waitress when asking for something. Beer taps need to be cleaned. The bathroom is disgusting you need to supply customers paper towels in a wing restaurant....

I visited the restaurant in P.B. 10 years ago and decided to try the one near the college area. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The restaurant should switch to counter service, as the wait staff was unhelpful. I mentioned it was my first time there, but he didn't go over any specials, explain the menu, or ask what I was in the mood for. When I ordered water, he seemed upset.

I was there with my 13-year-old son, and the place had a sketchier and dirtier vibe than I was used to. The tables were sticky, and the menus were worn and weathered. A dirty front of the restaurant always makes me worry about the cleanliness in the back. Despite not being busy, the service was slow and labored.

We received our wings, but there were no napkins or water. I had also ordered a beer, but it never came. My main concern was getting my son something to drink and some napkins. When my wings arrived, they were all flats and no drumettes. I asked the waiter to take them back. Trusting my instincts, I decided not to eat there to avoid any potential health issues.

I asked to speak to the manager and told my son to wait in the truck. After waiting for 10 minutes, no manager came out. I will never go back to this restaurant due to the sketchy, dirty environment and apathetic...

The first time I came here I was like “finally a delicious wing place with a great vib!” But it’s been a few months since I’ve been here since I moved up north and I will say the prices shot up! To the point where the drive here does not even seem worth it.. we ordered ten piece traditional garlic Parmesan, 10 piece traditional dirty ranch and 10 piece traditional lemon pepper, loaded tots, loaded fries and my friend got a burger with a side of Mac. My mother also ordered a beer. Sounds like a lot of food but I don’t think 30 wings two sides and a burger and beer was worth $130 .. I was so taken back by the bill.. there’s better wings in San Diego with better prices.. the wings are good but not worth the money, the appetizers came out warm not hot and the cheese dried so there was no cheese pull and they were a bit soggy.. just left me feeling really bad about the whole experience.. definitely my last time visiting here sadly :/

I work from home and was stuck on back to back conference calls today, so I opened up my favorite delivery app and saw Dirty Birds. A friend of mine had just heard this place was great and said he wanted to try it, so I figured I would check it out with an order. I ordered three items Tots, Strawberry Spinach Salad and Lemon Pepper wings. The only thing I received edible was the tots they look exactly like the one my kids make in the microwave from CostCo, nothing special. My order was $43 with tip and I threw all of it away except the tots. The wings looked sad, dried out and table pepper sprinkled on them?!? The Salad consisted of ONLY Spinich and Strawberries, it was supposed to have candied walnuts, berries, and other... It did not have any of it. It's honestly like the kitchen did not give a S*&t what they served.

We came down to watch San Diego State football win their season opener game. Afterwards, we wanted to continue to enjoy the collegiate atmosphere of college gameday and turned to Google for help. It steered us to this awesome SDSU bar! The wings were amazing (4 year award winning according to the pennants hanging up). I highly recommend the Flaming Honey Mustard. We watched the rest of the college football games on their multiple big screen TVs around the bar. Johnny, the proprietor, is awesome by the way. He took the time out of his busy night to talk to us out of towner's and even shared his Midleton's Whiskey wish us just because "it was a good day". Quality dude! I'd say this bar is fun for all ages. No college kids puking on the floor but still very lively.
