Kiwi Spa Organic Facial Innovation — Attraction in San Diego

I am a huge supporter of female entrepreneurs. I booked a Sunday with Maya and Jessica. Amazing experience from start to finish. Kiwi Spa uses 100% organic skincare. Maya has chosen nothing but the best products that smell delicious and feel silky. Both of these ladies were excellent hosts. I was offered a drink. I went with coffee some water and Maya popped a champagne bottle. The champagne was wonderful and I luv coffee. It was all perfect. So I sat in a chic sofa as I took in the beautiful space. The facial bed had lovely flowers spread about, the artwork & clock were Kiwi. I loved the Kiwi pillows that were on each chair and on the comfy sofa. Maya began to assess my skin, regiment and fully educated me on so many things. I enjoyed our chat. Then she mixed my own product to be used during the facial. One more sip of my champagne and I changed and got comfy in the station. I fell asleep a few times because it was so relaxing. Jessica was superb at explaining each step. Checking if I needed water, if the pressure or steam was ok. She's amazing. We also took pics before and after. We stopped midpoint when she did a service on just one side so I could see the contrast. The Diamond micro dermabrasion did not hurt. It felt nice and I enjoyed the Oxygen infusion. In the end my skin felt lighter, glowed, felt soft and hella clean. I changed and sat to enjoy the rest of my drinks as Maya gave me samples of a full regiment to take home. Best facial I’ve EVER had. I have been on the hunt for a go-to facial spa in San Diego and I’m so excited I found Katie and Kiwi Spa! Could not have asked for a better experience. Not only was it a breeze to book, but I didn’t have to book weeks in advance and I was able to easily get an appointment after 6p making it great for anyone with a busy schedule! Katie was outside and greeted me enthusiastically on arrival. The room is super spacious and not like some of the claustrophobic salon suites spas. It’s huge enough for a couples treatment which I’m excited to try next. Katie took her time explaining the facial I booked and some of the cool treatments they offer. Without an ounce of pressure or a sales pitch, she had me intrigued with their jet peel facial and I decided to change my appointment and try it out. Highly recommend - such a treat for your skin! The chair and space were well decorated with flowers and miscellaneous spa accents - it was clean and welcoming. The treatment itself was fantastic - i appreciated how long Katie kept the steam on my face, the cleansing and application techniques were super relaxing, and most importantly the extractions were not horrendous. I’m usually very sensitive and she made it as comfortable as I’ve ever been during extractions. The best part of kiwi spa was that it felt like a small business without compromising quality. I didn’t feel like just another client getting a run of the mill facial at a big spa - it felt extremely customized. Katie’s customer service left a lasting impression. An absolutely INCREDIBLE facial by Maya! She goes above and beyond and used tools and techniques no other esthetician has....light infusion, diamond microdermabrasion, cooling ultrasound with a product I can't remember the name of, oxygen treatment, and gave me Shira product samples to maintain what she did until my next appointment.

I have had a few facials and never had an experience that was as thorough as what Maya offered for a lower price, nicer Spa, longer time frame, amazing customer service, a client incentive program, new equipment, close to home (walking distance...I am lucky on that one!!)

The environment is clean, not cluttered, and is very classy with white furniture with kiwi accents. Maya really takes the time to learn about her clients and tailor the appointment to your needs.

Maya is extremely knowledgeable about skin care and has been in the industry for nearly 20 years in at least four countries (that I remember her telling me). Before opening her business, just over two months ago, she herself visited 25 different San Diego spas to learn best practices of other estheticians. Her knowledge is incredible!

First time client special is $65 for 80 minutes (Regular price is $99 - add $29 for the oxygen treatment), parking is on the street, bathroom is outside the spa, but only around the corner and newly remodeled and clean, and spa is on the first floor of a professional building.
