I needed molinillos to teach my high-school culinary classes how to make traditional Mexican Hot Chocolate. I searched high and low for something that was budget friendly and could be picked up locally. I really wanted to have in time for our recipe labs. I spoke with Amanda over the phone to make sure I could pick up my order at their warehouse. She was friendly, checked to make sure that the size and quantity needed was in stock and offered a helpful discount. When I arrived Sam was so nice to let me personally pick all of the molinillos myself, being that they slightly vary in size shape and color due to being hand made. I was very pleased with my entire experience shopping with mexgrocer.

*NEVER order anything fragile from this company! I will never order anything from them again.

I would give zero stars if I could too, horrible customer service. I thought it was only my experience but now I am realizing that similar cases have happened to my country fellows or other customers who had tried this place.

I ordered a Valentina hot sauce (among other products) and the bottle arrived broken as a result of improper packaging. When I wrote to complain, I added clear photos of the broken bottle. However, they declared that courier said that there was no evidence that the parcel was damaged since there was not external damage to the box, so customer service wanted more pictures to prove I wasn't lying to them. I took them even though I was in no mood or position to grab my cellphone because my kitchen and I were covered with red hot sauce. After sending more photos, the communication has ceased and they did not offer a refund or a discount (which I would not use) despite the fact that the cost of the bottle is little or at least as a curtesy.

I bought previously from the Spanish franchise, and I noticed that almost all the products came either expired or had the expiration date covered, erased or the plastic label torn off. My logic was that maybe this was the matrix of the brand, and consequently; they won’t incur in these kinds of shady practices / sub-optimal experiences but that was a mistake.

It is really hard to find some Mexican products where I live and I am paying top money for this service (/overpriced products) just to end losing time cleaning, writing endless emails, following up my case or with consumable products stained and...

Would give 0 stars if I could. They have repeatedly and ever-more creatively bungled my simple order of hot chocolate. The cherry on top has been the $450 charge I received from UPS which summarized MexGrocer.com's invoice to them as including, among other things, "silver nitrate, medicament, and dentifrices." Not only did they not apologize for this (pretty obvious, pretty expensive) error they promised to correct the problem with UPS two months ago and then provide me with updates. No updates have been provided and a phone call to UPS today notes no updates from this retailer. It seems likely that, in addition to the hot chocolate I purchased that was 1) not what I originally selected from their store 2) late, I will have to pay $450 for medical and personal care products I never purchased.

I have never, ever even entertained the notion of leaving a bad review for a company in the past. I typically find such efforts to be a waste of energy and a potentially-unfair indictment of a business based on one interaction but I feel the need to warn others against purchasing from...

Horrible customer service. I ordered a couple of cases of hot sauce and several bottles arrived broken as a result of improper packaging. Customer service wanted photos to prove I wasn't lying to them. I explaned that I was in no mood or position to think about grabbing my camera when I was covered head to foot in red hot sauce from the explosion that had happened inside the box. There was not external damage to the box, but only paper thin partitions between bottles. As I continue to open bottles I am finding more bottles cracked in the neck under the plastic collar that were not noticeable upon initial inspection. It is possible that all bottles are broken. NEVER order anything fragile from this company! I will never ANYTHING...
