I visited this park many years ago, however I had forgotten all about it. My sister and I were in the area and decided to find a park to let my son run off some energy before going out to dinner and she mentioned this park.

This is a wonderful park with gorgeous views and ample street parking. There is a kids play area which larger than a lot of parks and updated with nice padding on the ground. The swings are off to the side and located in sand. There are two toddler swings and 2 regular swings. There are three tables with boards painted on for either checkers or chess which is a nice feature. These items are all located behind the grassy area so it is not right against the street. There is plenty of green space for lounging or playing. There are nice shaded areas as well. There are more benches than most other parks so you can relax while watching your kids play. While there are no actual bathrooms there are port a potties.

The park overall is very well maintained. Since the park is located at the top of a hill there is a change of some wildlife. While we visited recently we watched a snake come from the area where the checkers/chess tables are and slither to the playground. The only thing I would mention is this is a dog friendly park so if kids are scared of dogs, that would be the...

Small park place for kids to play family park needs a restroom. So the park is open 24 hours that's wonderful but beware of some of the neighbors there are very nosy they act like the park belongs to only them who live along side the park if they don't like how you look or that you might spend the nite there they call the police and make you leave even tho your not doing anything to break any rules these people who live along side of the park do not welcome the homeless or travelers that might want to bbq or just telax from the days daily stresses also the police came the other nite and told some people they had to leave cause a complaint was issued well I think it's wromg its filing a fasle report the people who were there were very quite older seniors it was very sad to see how some one could lie just to get there way so to the older seniors I don't blame you if you don't come back what these rude people don't know is that you give your time to the park to keep it clean and nice and whenever...

Local realtors occasionally host events, especially on occasions like Easter Sunday, making the park bustling with activity. The return of birthday parties can make finding parking a challenge. Nonetheless, it remains a tranquil park, popular among dog owners and families with small children enjoying the playground. There's a need for more swings—only two for tots and two for big kids—but a fundraiser for additional swings is something I would support! Conveniently situated near plenty of good food within walking distance, the park provides opportunities to meet friendly people. Keep in mind there are no public restrooms, and nearby facilities are for customers only, so it's advisable not to consume excessive liquids...

I had the opportunity to spend some time in trolley barn park as I was waiting for my clients to arrive so we could view some homes in the neighborhood. I enjoyed the feel of the park, it is big enough and yet not too big, the perfect size for a neighborhood park and one with historical significance. There was a yoga class being taught on the lawn in one corner and a game of frisbee being played in another. And views across Mission Valley. This park is a great place to relax and chill out!

Open park near the heart of University Heights business area. It has multiple playgrounds, lots of grass, a nice paved walking path, swingsets, tables, and many benches. There were a lot of people there on a Sunday afternoon, mostly with younger kids. Some people were walking their dogs through the park. The area is very walkable, with a lot of cafes and eateries nearby. The biggest downside is that parking is a HUGE pain in the butt and there are no bathrooms at all.
