I am utterly disheartened to share this review, but I believe it's important for potential shoppers to know the kind of environment this boutique fosters. During my visit, I witnessed an appalling display of unprofessionalism and disrespect that has left a permanent stain on my perception of this establishment.
After a pleasant enough encounter with the staff, I was shocked to overhear a deeply offensive remark made by a staff member regarding another customer who had just exited the store. The woman was described in derogatory terms merely because of her appearance and ethnicity—this is completely unacceptable. This experience shed light on the insincerity of the owners and staff who could maintain a facade of politeness only to reveal their true, prejudiced attitudes behind closed doors. It pains me to see such attitudes, especially among the younger generation expected to champion inclusivity and diversity. Decency and respect are the very least that one should expect from a retail experience. Unfortunately, this boutique has shown that they are undeserving of patronage. It's distressing to realize this is the face of an establishment in our community—a face marred by entitlement and contempt. Continuing from the narrative shared in my review, the specific comment that struck me was cruelly made byy the owner with dirty blonde hair directed towards a colleague with wavy brunette hair, moments after a customer left. She said, "I don't like her. She made our shop feel ghetto." This remark not only was deeply offensive but also shone a light on the prejudiced mindset harbored within the confines of this seemingly welcoming boutique. Such language and attitude contribute to a toxic environment, perpetuating stereotypes and demeaning individuals based on unfounded biases.
I implore you to consider the values you support when choosing where to shop. Our dollars are our endorsement. By choosing not to return, I refuse to condone or be part of cultivating such a toxic culture.
