Horrible service!! An absolutely cold atmosphere we walked into... the bartenders treated my bf and I like we were aliens when we said hello like we were interuptin them. And then when we ordered one drink there was basically three people in the bar and they rushed us for a credit card like we were going to walk out. The drink was weak the service was horrible and the ambiance was so stale I'll never go back. Both bartenders, one male one female were more wrapped up in flirting with each other rather then ensuring patronage. Shame on whoever hired those two bartenders male and female that worked December 29. It was a Wednesday night...they're more into themselves and their relationship then their customers and making us a drink. Used to like this place because of the ambiance and shuffleboard. Wont be suprised if they go out of business since their staff could care less about the customers and...

I can't believe I just discovered this place. We were dining at Madison for dinner next door and decided to come here for a drink afterwards. We went in around 10:00 p.m. so it was just starting to get busy, which is my preferred crowd size anyways. I love that they have multiple bars and a sense of different spaces. When you walk in you enter the first space that has a bar and its own set of music if you continue to walk towards the back you enter an outdoor space that has another bar into the right a dance floor with a DJ and a bar there as well! The multiple bars really spread out the line so you didn't have to wait forever for a drink. And wow, drinks are so affordable! I ordered two drinks, wanted tequila soda and one a Mezcal Paloma and it was $22 in total! I really love this spot it has something for everybody, if you want to just chill and talk and their outdoor space or in their front bar, or head to the dance floor...

I've came to Park and Rec twice with both times being very different, but both very enjoyable.

The first time was on a Friday night earlier in the evening, sometime around 8-9 PM. By the time I was taking off with my date there was a DJ in the front and the bar was getting full.

This time around I arrive sometime around 10PM, maybe a little earlier and it was packed with multiple dancefloors. Getting a table to sit down and drink was very unlikely, but if one were to be going out to get a groove on and dance, this was definitely the night for it.

So, for a more tame and lax night accompanied with a couple drinks , try to come earlier and for a night of dancing, the later, the better. Though a line does...

Parking here sucks. Meters until 6pm but if you go around the corner on Adams, it’s free. We came right when they opened so it was early enough to find free parking. This place serves drinks and has music at night. Nice cocktail lounge. They don’t serve food but you’re allowed to bring in your own food. Johnston’s next door has awesome sliders. Drinks at Park & Rec are delicious and they make awesome mocktails. I got cruel summer, picture of you and pink Cadillac. Cruel summer was on the sweet side with pineapple nice, picture of you tasted like cough syrup and pink Cadillac was like a spicy margarita with the Tajin on the rim. Atmosphere is chill with the multiple outdoor area. Nice vibe, plenty of seating.

I visited Park & rec for the very first time for an event and had an amazing experience! We were in the back it was open, it felt perfect! The music wasn’t too loud and they had a lot of heaters. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we always had what we needed. The drink menu was extensive, offering a variety of unique cocktails that were both delicious and beautifully presented. I especially loved the lemon drop, which had a perfect balance of flavors. The bar also had cozy seating areas, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the evening with friends. I can't wait to go back!

A few months ago, Park and Rec started hosting an event for songwriters on Monday nights called Writer’s Round. It’s an intimate space in the bar’s “greenhouse.” It’s an open mic styled event that features local songwriters, with two rounds of random performers taking turns sharing their music and the songwriting process. Artists like Lee Coulter, Rachel de Koekkoek, Evan Diamond, Joshua Taylor, Lauren Leigh, Jeff Berkeley, Lisa Sanders, and Aaron Bowen. Such an organic spot to catch the songwriting community.
