Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would work out 6 days a week and love it. This has absolutely changed my life. My clothes fit better after just 3 weeks of going and I am positive that I will not stop. Every day I look forward to it. My entire body is stronger and I have way more energy. The classes have three fifteen minute blocks. In each block there are 4 to 6 exercises that you usually do 4 sets of. There is NO thinking involved, just show up and they have a perfectly planned workout for you. It’s NEVER boring, never the same, and it’s only as hard as you want to make it. I’m consistently challenged, but never overwhelmed. I’m frequently sore, but NEVER injured or have difficulty moving the next few days. The staff is friendly and helpful. Michael is a ball of energy and cracks me up every class. You can tell that he really wants what’s best for everyone. The workouts are designed by a physiologist and rehab specialist so they’re taking into account your well being on many different levels. The first time I went I was overwhelmed with all of the exercises and instructions, but if you get lost, just look to your neighbors, most of them always know what to do because they’ve been long time attendees. Read moreIf you’re looking for a great workout class in under 60 minutes congratulations, you’ve found it. Definitely more weight focused than other HIIT gyms I’ve taken, but without the risky Olympic-style lifts found in X-Fit. Each station has their own set of weights, which really helps when you need to increase or decrease weights on the fly. This really allows you the freedom to go heavy if you’re feeling it and is pretty rare to find in a class setting like this. Honestly, this was a big selling feature for me. Admittedly, you’re first few times will seem overwhelming as there are 3 stations you’ll rotate through and they begin every class by quickly explaining all of the lifts you’ll be doing during the class at each station. That said, just focus on the station you’re starting at and you’ll be fine. All of the coaches do an incredible job of explaining each lift in real time as you move from movement to movement, as well as circulating around to correct form and make sure everyone’s doing what they’re supposed to be doing. Read moreI’ve been a member for over a year now and out of all the studios I’ve tried, this one is hands down the best. Coach Mike, who I believe is also the manager, is the main reason I keep coming back. As a fitness instructor with 15 years of experience, including teaching at Yoga Box which is a sister studio, I know how essential it is to build genuine connections with students and create a strong sense of community. Coach Mike truly excels at this. You can see how much he cares about his people. He is always engaged, offering encouragement and making sure everyone feels welcome and supported.
His workouts are challenging but safe, and he always provides great modifications for those dealing with injuries. The music is always on point, adding that extra motivation to push through.
