I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe in San Diego and it was an absolutely outstanding experience. As a frequent visitor of various bike shops, I can say with confidence that Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe stands out as the best in the city.

My most memorable experience at this shop was when I needed a specific bolt for my bike – a small but crucial item. I was referred to this place from another shop owner. The shops owner said he doesn't refer people normally but these people were so nice and very honest with a ton of knowledge.. he wasn't wrong. The customer service is always number 1 in my opinion.. then.. when you get top notch customer service all the other great qualities usually fallow.. so immediately I knew these people where good. The woman behind the count was so sweet. She knew exactly what I needed and laid out all options.. another gentleman (maybe her husband) came out and introduced himself and gave me some tips and advice. I received a free bike that needed (from my own estimate and part research) at LEAST a couple hundred in repairs. I didn't have the time to fix it on my own, so I decided to take it here after reading the great reviews. Jennifer was extremely nice and knowledgeable, and had a repair estimate for me within 5 minutes of arriving. She quoted me about $200 less than I was expecting to spend, and accurately listed everything I knew needed obvious work. As it stands, I'd recommend Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe to anybody; I'll be updating my review once repairs are finished on my bike.
