Puddingstone Reservoir — Attraction in San Dimas

Even though this park was not far from residence, I just recently discovered how nice it is. The park opens at sunrise and closes after dark at 9 pm. The entrance fee was very reasonable, and seniors are half priced during weekdays. It has ample picnic areas, hiking trails and very clean restrooms. The best part for me is the Puddingstone Reservoir. The lake offers boating and lots area for shore fishing. So far, I have tried bass fishing there 3 times but still have not catch anything. I saw other fishermen caught small blue gills. I still enjoyed my trips very much because of the ambience of the park. I will come back and try other offerings of the park, such as hiking...

We entered next to the boat launch entrance and not the beach/ swimming side, that being said it's 10.00 for entry and there's many shady areas with trees and a covered patio area for lunches. Lots of garbage cans everywhere and green grass for playing. Many ducks and geese were around and many jet skiers and boaters in the fast boating area. Families can pop their tents near the boat launch area and wait to join on the vessels. Boats must pass inspection/ be dry. The beauty of this place is indescribable; the water is clean and warm. While swimming is not allowed, you can walk along the shore in the clean, warm water. There are clean restrooms, chairs, and pavilions available. You can bring your own boat for a ride, although boat rentals are also available.
