We stayed at My Rose Garden for one night, the 4th of July 2018. The location was good, parking worked out pretty well despite minimal spaces, “Red” room was clean as expected, and we never had any issues with sharing bathrooms with other guests. We did have one concern from the morning of the 5th. that we wanted to bring to the attention to the owner, Kathleen, and potential guests. Kathleen was in a rush to get out to play golf and left my husband and I and a German couple, with a table of breakfast including quiche (that was delicious), hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, coffee, and OJ but no bread. She gave the four of us instructions to tell the guests, who would be arriving later for breakfast, what to do if the coffee ran out. We were instructed to tell them if they wanted more coffee they would need to make their own pot back in her kitchen – which seemed odd. There were places set for at least 4 more people so none of us were sure how many additional guests would be eating breakfast – with that said we all we all felt like we had to limit what we ate to make sure there was enough food for additional guests and also felt somewhat obligated to stay to inform the other guests of the situation. Unfortunately, after the 4 of us ate, we highly doubt there was enough food to feed more than 2 additional people.
In the future I highly recommend Kathleen hires additional help for mornings when she has personal business and plans. B&B’s are businesses and we felt like she fell short in providing the “signature” breakfast and experience advertised on...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to visit SF before our first child arrived. We discovered My Rose Garden in a quiet neighborhood just south of the Presidio. Dog walkers and families casually strolled the sunny streets as we found our way to the entrance. ||We were welcomed in and made to feel at home right away. ||The inside of the bright home is filled with color you might find in a home decor magazine- yellows, deep oranges- all very fitting for SF. We found many local guide books in the sitting room that gave us valuable advice during our stay. ||My wife and I stayed in the Yellow room. We found the bed to be comfortable and the fireplace a nice addition. There was plenty of space for luggage and hanging clothes. ||The bathroom was spotless. Even the shower had fantastic water pressure, which is sometimes difficult to find. ||We absolutely loved the breakfast which consisted of several juices, fresh coffee, baked egg dishes, granola, and a lovely fruit compote. We left feeling energized and ready for our day. ||Because of their hospitality at My Rose Garden, we were able to fully relax and feel recharged for each new adventure we had lined up in SF.||But the best part was…||The location is incredible. Very safe. We walked to great restaurants along Clement and Geary with ease. ||We will absolutely be back and will make it a priority to...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay here! Such a welcoming home with a lovely family. Kathleen was so accommodating and helpful. Not to mention she prepared such a lovely breakfast setting every morning! I was so excited that she took my food needs into consideration. Being Gluten Free sometimes makes me feel like I’m missing out but I didn’t feel that way! We couldn’t find parking the first night so we were able to park in the driveway and left our keys downstairs they moved our car to a perfect spot and we never had to move it our whole stay. We walked and got rides from family. It worked out so perfectly for us. We were in the greatest walkable neighborhood with easy access to beaches and spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge. There’s dead bolts on the inside of the rooms. I didn’t feel uncomfortable leaving my belongings and souvenirs there when we went out because we locked the front door of the house when leaving. I don’t travel with valuables I can’t carry on my person. We had the Green and Red Rooms both were very comfortable and we both slept so well every night. The green room was large with window seat bathroom and sitting area. The red room was smaller but still had seating and a poster bed and the bathroom was down the hall. We came to visit Marilyn’s baby grandson. Thank you so much for helping to create...
