One of my favorite escapes in San Francisco is the coastal trail that begins at the historic Cliff House and winds its way past the iconic Sutro Baths. I love taking my time to soak in the stunning ocean views, snapping photos of Heart Rock along the way, and enjoying the peaceful breeze. There’s something magical about this trail, especially as it meanders through the trees and along the cliffs. The highlight for me is always ending the hike at the breathtaking Lincoln Park Steps, where vibrant mosaic tiles and intricate patterns add an artistic touch to nature’s beauty. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a day on the coast!

Great family hike and then of course we had to go eat out in San Anselmo at Taco Jane's which...

A beautiful trail that greets you with nature. Every glance into the trees gives you a magical/mysterious feel and every glance to the opposite side where the ocean is gives you an open and free experience.

They have signs to help gauge distance and direction. They even have a storybook on signs for kids to read with discussion questions.

Wonderful place to get exercise and take a break. Most of the trail is dirt and sand with a few stairs of steps...

I've been to the Bay Area over 10 times and this is a trail I do each visit. I start by Sutro Baths then follow lands end trail all the way to the birdge. The views are amazing, bird watching is always there, and I've been lucky to see some whale breach twice. Great area!
