As someone who comes to the Legion of Honor more than a few times, I can say that this is one the more delightful places to visit for a coffee or a small bite. Situated in the beautiful Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco, the cafe offers stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the surrounding area.
I was surprised with the amount of options the menu presented us. The cafe offers a variety of salads, sandwiches, and pastries, as well as a great selection of teas, coffee, and other beverages. The food is always fresh and well-prepared, with great attention paid to quality and presentation.
In addition to the food, the Legion of Honor Cafe is a great place to relax and unwind. The peaceful and serene setting, combined with the museum's stunning artwork, make it the perfect place to recharge and enjoy some quiet time. It's a great spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco and enjoy some of the city's natural beauty.
Overall, the Legion of Honor Cafe is a hidden gem in San Francisco that is well worth a visit. Whether you're looking for a quick bite, a leisurely lunch, or just a quiet place to relax, this cafe has something for everyone. I highly...
Read moreHad lunch today. No alcohol, two lemonades, 3 entrees, 3 desserts. $140. Have no problem paying if the food is good but mine was inedible, so bad that I left it. Almost imperceptible amount of shredded chicken and burrata on a crumbled bun so slathered with mayonnaise that it was essentially Mayo with Bun. Potato chips and a pickle $30. Are you kidding???? Really???? Prices have always been high here but lately the food quality has rapidly descended to the lower echelon. VERY interesting to note that another diner posted the same sandwich (below). That sandwich had chicken—mine had virtually none. Just small smatterings of chicken. The kitchen must have run out and tried to stretch the little they had. NOT ACCEPTABLE. If a kitchen runs out, the kitchen should not serve the entree and offer a...
Read moreSuch a lovely place to eat! Especially on a beautiful day. Food selection is fine. However, prices are not just overboard, but exorbitant; in some cases, the food doesn't come close to the pricing. The markup on everything is ridiculous: a tiny yogurt (99 cents size) is $4.75 plus tax. The Reuben sandwich for $22 was really disappointing: small, dry, and not really a Reuben sandwich at all, missing essential ingredients; the sandwich (on a small bagel) came with a tiny handful of potato chips. Two sandwiches and two Arnold Palmer teas came to $52.00 before taxes and tip. Sadly, museums and museum cafes do not offer an affordable experience for most working-class families with children. Bring your own lunch and...
