Such a cool place for camping right next to the Golden Gate Bridge! Few things to consider before you go: There’s no water. Take your own. There’s no electricity. Pack your battery chargers. Toilets are just a whole in the ground. You have your privacy and a toilet seat but make sure to take an extra toilet roll. Just in case ;) The parking lot to your campsite can be tricky if you have a few things with you. If you have a wagon, bring it! It will make your life a bit easier bringing things up and down from your car to your tent. Not the end of the world if you don’t have one. FOG HORN: you may hear the fog horn overnight. It doesn’t come all the time - it can also be for a couple of hrs. Bring some earplugs if you’d prefer a quieter night.

You can clearly see all of SF and the Golden Gate and straight across the bay towards the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It is about a 1.5 mile hike down a fire road to the beach from the main road. The fire road isn't to steep but the hike back up can be a little tiring due to the length. Read moreI have lived here for over 30 years and this was my first time here! A very private beach and camp ground area worth a visit for a day! Good hike up and down the hill and maybe take a picnic to the beach and over looking the Golden Gate Bridge ! It’s amazing !
Don’t forget to bring a lock with your name and love one’s name to add it to the wire fence ! It’s such a romantic thing to do!
