Mount Davidson Vista Point offers some great views of the city skyline and neighborhoods. It is a short hike to reach the vista point from the street and is worth the uphill climb. There are also a few hiking trails to explore and hike on Mt. Davidson as well.

This is the highest point in San Francisco. Great views on sunny days. Limited parking and you have to walk a little (easy dirt road from the south or steeper trails from the north), so very uncrowded compared to nearby Twin Peaks.

Beautiful views from the top. An easy but steep hike through the hiking/trail of beautiful trees (20-25mins) or an shorter easier stroll from the main entrance off Dalewood on the south side (10-15mins)

BTW, it really is a vista point not an insurance agency as categorized. You can get here on your Mountain Bike by taking the fire road to the top then a short distance down and here you are with an excellent view of the downtown or the fog. You'll remember the immense cross at the top of Mount Davidson from Dirty Harry but did you know it commemorates victims of the Armenian genocide? Reticent to get to Mout Davidson on your own power? You can arrive on Muni 36 Teresita from Mission district or...

During the foggy season, especially in the month of August, this place is wonderful to visit at around dusk or dawn. The fog softens the light even more and covers the trees with it's fine, lace like mist. It's a wonderful hike to the top and there are coyotes here, too. If you see one, be sure not to...
