Can a set of skillfully applied lash extensions actually change your life?

Absolutely.

Here's my story: I wasn't born with long, thick, black curled lashes (Imagine, huh?) More like invisible, blond, short, sparse and dead straight. I spent decades chained to blacker-than-black mascara and an eyelash curler, constantly checking the mirror to see if one eye had unattratively unfurled when the fog rolled in. When Latisse, tints and lash perms came along, I was in heaven. My lashes still weren't spectacular but at least they were quietly pretty 24/7. In eight weeks, Latisse produced brown lashes that were long enough to perm, tinting gave me black lashes -- for a whole week before rinsing down the shower drain -- and perms gave me a really perky little curl for about four weeks. I was still relying on an eyelash curler and mascara just to keep it all going until my next appointment but, with lashes like mine, anything was an improvement. And then I discovered Happy Lashes and found out that extensions aren't just for weddings and weekends in Vegas.

I told Maria P. that I wanted a natural look but, honestly, I was pretty much entirely clueless about options; I just knew that I didn't want to look like a Kardashian. She nodded cheerfully, put on some music and then set about applying exactly the lashes she knew would look best on me, while taking all factors into consideration, including my existing lash base and my desire for a daily wear look that didn't scream EXTENSIONS.

I now have six months of appointments behind me and I can definitely say that I really love having lashes with a strong presence and that I like a lot more length and curl than I would have originally thought. For me, this is the natural look that I didn't know how to tell Maria P that I wanted, the look of long, thick, curled lashes that look like they've been lightly touched with a coat of mascara. 100% best lash spot ever!

Before going to Happy Lashes I tried 3-4 other places in the Bay Area. All those lash deals you see popping up now are tempting, but I've found that for something like lashes it's much better to pay for quality. At other lash places I've gone to, the lashes look good out the door, but either a couple days or a couple weeks after, the lashes get crooked, or fall off too quickly. At Happy Lashes my lashes last for a long time and don't get crooked!

Maria always taking time to test new products to improve her service offering. Over the years I've seen her experiment with the glue and lashes she uses give her clients better lashes, and I can attest to the fact that it works! Even when my lashes are 3 weeks old (the point where they usually fall off), I still get compliments and they don't look spotty. Other people who get their lashes can never believe that my lashes are that old!

Maria also used to be an RN, so as a client who has been going to her for years, I can attest to the fact that she is always clean and hygienic, which you definitely want from someone touching your eyes and face. Some other places I've been haven't been as clean and it's pretty gross to have that so close to your delicate eyes.

Also as a nice side benefit, 100% of the time that I get my lashes done, I fall asleep. Every time I go see Happy Lashes I come out more rested and more beautiful! UPDATE: Three weeks out and I just had to push back my "touch up" appointment because these lashes are still going strong. I cannot believe how long these are lasting. This is not what I expected and I am SO PLEASED!

First and foremost, I love my eyelashes and I don't know how I'm going to cope without them! These ladies have a customer for life. I've had my lashes done before and found the process expensive and extremely temporary. There was a wow factor, but not for long, and the value just wasn't there for me. NOT SO with Happy Lashes. These women know what they're doing and I will never go anywhere else. My eyes look beautiful, my appointment was on time, faster than I expected, and my lashes are lasting!
