Portals of the Past — Attraction in San Francisco

What a surprise find. This architectural piece is quite interesting in that I don't see any actual function other than for artistic display. Although there is not much to see, because it's literally just a fancy gothic gateway frame. But if you are a photographer like me, you can take some really cool photos of this gateway opening to nowhere with nothing but dirt behind it. But it is precisely this that I love it... perhaps it's really a portal to the past before human have civilization. This is not a well know place even by the SF locals, and it offers a nice serene walk by the Lloyd Lake that is literally green. And you can find turtles and duck all around it. We went for a wedding and the place was very beautiful. The pictures we got are so nice and the environment around is peaceful, colorful and perfect for an outdoor meeting. I found this place buy accident while I was on my daily walk in golden gate park. I love how the water is so green and depending on where you are coming from there is a waterfall before this lake.
