Chug Pub — Restaurant in San Francisco

This place is not what I was expecting. Chug Pub has got awesome 49ers memorabilia on the walls, as a 9ers fan I can really appreciate this. This would be a great bar to go and watch 49ers games at. The bartender was super friendly he bought a round of tequila and there were three of us. Not sure why he did this but it worked because we came back later and drank some more! The food is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had and I am not exaggerating. We ordered the nachos with tinga, if you dont know what tinga is its mexican bbq and it is a must try. The chips in the nachos were some the best I have ever had, I love my chips on the well done side almost burnt and thats how these chips came. I loved it! When we came back later I ordered a California burrito and it was hands down the best California burrito I have ever had. I live an hour away and I plan on going back on a Sunday to have some drinks, eat amazing Mexican food and watch some 49er games. The bathrooms arent the best but everything else...

Chug Pub...sounds like it was made for a frat house crowd. Fortunately, there is a much different vibe here. A lot of older locals come to watch sports and chat it up with one another at this unique bar. There is a covered patio where you can take you're beer out to in the front with a television so you can keep up with the game. The television is small and very outdated but still a good way not to miss any of the action. The bartenders were friendly and served us with a smile. The food...not so good. We tried several different items and all were just sad. They felt like someone opened up their mom's freezer, threw them in the microwave and served it in a cheap plastic basket. We had the chicken strips, the zucchini, the mushrooms, and the nachos. Now, if you follow me on my reviews, you'll know I love nachos. These were by far the saddest nachos. Typical plastic nacho cheese, a drizzle of chili and stale old chips. That's why this place get 3 stars. Good for a drink, not...

My group arrived early to chug pub so we could enjoy Mexican cuisine and the extensive beer selection. The early hour revealed a peaceful ambiance, with only a handful of patrons present, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable start to the evening. The prospect of savoring the renowned Mexican flavors and exploring the well-curated beer options in this tranquil setting heightened the anticipation of what was sure to be a fantastic night out... expect exactly the opposite happened.

The bar experience turned frustrating as it took a staggering hour to receive a small burrito, a delay that left our patience tested. To compound matters, the staff seemed to have forgotten our friends' orders entirely, leaving them hungry and disappointed.
