SuperbCut is fairly new to the LA hair salon scene, but they are definitely not new to the hair game. Owned and operates by Taiwanese hairstylist with years of experience in the business with several shops in Taiwan as well. They understand Asian hair and keeps up with hair trends and techniques in Asia.

Although walk ins are welcomed, but appointment is definitely recommended, as I saw customers came in back to back as I was having my hair bleached and colored.

My stylist Lane did a wonderful job at giving me this ethereal lavender pinkish silver hair. And was careful throughout the bleaching and dying process.

And from observation, they communicate with customers to achieve what customers want, so don’t hesitate to let them know exactly what you want, and they will be honest and let you know what is possible with the condition of your hair. And when finished, they also give you tips on how to take care and style your new hair.

The first time experience at this hair salon was okay. For this time, their booking system was not working properly. I made the reservation 4 days in advance. They double booked the reservation and called me one day before, I was barely picked up the phone call and message. They asked me to change the time or change the stylist. I changed the stylist.

Speaking of the service, don’t expect the hair treatment service like Taiwanese salon. The hair wash and blow dry were mediocre. The hair treatment was only retained for few days. Agree with previous review that service is not great. They advertise similar service to salons in Taiwan, which is completely false. I was assigned to a stylist who recently moved to LA for this salon. She stated she used to have 2 assistants in Taiwan and now it’s basically zero. Wash and cut was at a basic level. She seemed overconfident and the haircut was not well done. When I went home and combed through my hair there were chunks of hair that were uneven or missed that I had to trim myself.
