99 Foot Spa — Attraction in San Jose

I went here yesterday for a massage as I've been experiencing lower back pain. I purchased the 1 hour full body, the front desk assigned me a male masseur without asking before hand if that was okay with me and it was too late to change once the massage started. It was the most pointless massage I’ve ever received, the pressure was very light, it didn’t feel like my body was receiving any therapeutic benefits. I was tempted for the first time ever in my life to walk out of the massage mid-massage and demand a refund. I don’t think I’ll ever be going back, very unprofessional environment I could hear loud talking the entire time by the staff in the back. I wish I had saved my money and went else where, I feel like I just threw 60$ out the window.

I’m writing this review a someone who is trained and certified in Hawaii for both Lomi Lomi and Swedish style massage so I know what a professional massage...

OK, what’s the hole in the wall for massage place. So the star rating is clearly not the level of the establishment rather the niceness of the people and the quality of the service.

I have been coming here for years, since their grand opening actually! The couple that runs it have worked really hard to keep this place active and legit.

If you’re looking for a reasonable foot massage or a good full body massage, there masseuses do a good job. If you’re looking for someone with a little more experience on pain management, one of the owners is trained and you can ask him specifically to address it.

The facility is just your basic strip mall put massage place with curtains for privacy For the foot massage areas, and roomed off rooms for full body.

Paid $60 for the 1hr body massage & the entire time I got elbowed & just a pair of hands swiping up and down my back. I had to stop mid massage and actually tell the guy if he can use his hands and MASSAGE instead of just rub up and down & elbow me. He also walked out & came back with hot towels to rub the lotion off me & tried to say he was done. I explained I actually had 20min left. I believe he was shocked I even called him out on the time so he finished up & at that point I preferred not to tip. I walked out and he yelled at me, 'TIP! TIP!' I turned around & said ok, here's $5. He said, NO. 20% TIP REQUIRED. I told him I tip based off the service recieved. And it was terrible. He waved me off. Terrible. Never coming back.
