If I could give this place a Negative 5 star - I would. We moved into Enclave apartments on October of 2023. On day one, my little dog was attacked as we came out of our front door by a large unleashed dog walking around the hallway. Ended up with a $2.5K vet bill thanks to this negligence. The community did nothing to help or facilitate - although it states in their agreement that dogs must be leashed at all times. Within the first week, we submitted at least 12 work orders for a multitude of reasons including: toilets not sealed and leaking/like I mean flooding the bathrooms, broken light fixtures, roach infestation in the kitchen, broken window shades and sliders, broken sliding door to the balcony and broken lock to the balcony door - which by the way, the fact that our door to the balcony did not lock was not considered an emergency so they never came to fix it – Anyway I could go on with inside the apartment issues.
As far as outside the apartment goes: The one elevator in our building was broken for weeks on end and at least once a month for the duration of our stay. We lived on the top floor so as you can imagine this was a blast. The stairwells to get to our apartment were inconveniently located, rarely cleaned and dimly lit or simply dark as the lights were often also broken. Within the first month one of our car’s license plates was stolen right from our RSVPd parking spot. Anyone can come in and out of the community gates, this place is so extra unsafe. Sent an email to the office about this as well and they were not responsive.
Also, on top of my dog getting attacked on day one, walking him around the community was also scary and dangerous, there was trash all over, there was unpicked up dog poop all over and on top of all of that the lighting was absolutely terrible. We had to carry a flashlight anytime going out for my pup’s walk after sundown. My little man ended up passing away at 9 years old while living in this apartment, he was perfectly healthy before moving in here and I can’t help but blame this place for making me lose him - I lost him on July 31. If you are a pet owner, for your pet’s sake stay away for this place. I emailed the community to inform them of my pet’s passing for the purpose of stopping pet rent and they never replied to acknowledge. It took us going to the office and putting his death certificate in their faces to get their attention. “Oh yeah we got the email” is what they said.
There are so many more issues that I can list but I don’t think it is healthy for me to re-live that place too much detail. My regret is not moving out after that first week. I’ve lived happily in a few apartment communities across California and I never have issues. This place is just an absolute NO...
Read moreI would rate this place zero (0) star if the system allows it. I will NOT move back to Enclave again. Everyone shall stay away from this complex! First of all, this complex is very unsafe, a lot of crimes and burglaries just happened from last year. The management team reacts very passively to all these crimes, they don't even think about installing a security camera system around the complex and their manager has explained several times to us "installing such a system does not help". Secondly, the management team is very unprofessional, they are just greedy. Like I said before, they don't care the safety of their tenants, they won't listen to the tenants. They only care about the money in the tenants pocket. They introduce the Valet Waste service into the complex that just helps you take the garbage from your door to the garbage room and that is only tens of feet for most tenants. It charges every apartment $25/m and this is compulsive, you do not have a chance to opt out - and I can tell you this is a commission business! They have also changed the utility billing company from the beginning of the year and we all see our utility bill increased from $75/m to $140/m after that, which is ridiculous. The management never help us to figure out the reason behind it and once again the manager said it is common to see utility bill increase around winter time. But it actually never come down to below $130 for the past 10 months after they changed the billing company. Thirdly, you will get a $180 bill for the cleaning fee from the management after you decide to move out (which is a right decision) even if you have made sure you have cleaned everything. They would say it is for cleaning the carpet - if you argue we never even have a drop of wine on it, they would claim they actually charge that to everyone moves out. Fourth, there was also bad (I fell it quite toxic) smell in the apartment which might come from the carpet or the paint of the cabinet, so I had to keep my doors and windows open for the whole day for several months. I sent email to the manager and he just ignored it. Anyway, I decided to move out for the safety of my family. I paid two months' penalty for breaking the lease and decide I will NEVER move back. I will NOT recommend anyone to even try to look into this place. Stay away from this complex and stay away from this whole management team which will for sure...
Read moreI lived here for 13 months. If it wasn’t for the extremely rude people that work in the office, I would give them a better score. Cathleen in specific, but overall management should really consider doing customer service training to teach them how to talk to people instead of driving customers away.
The very first time I went to tour apartments, I wasn’t even greeted. They front desk people made eye contact, then looked away, and continued what they were doing. If it wasn’t for Joe, the person who helped me with my lease, I would have just left. Joe was extremely helpful, unfortunately he doesn’t work there anymore.
The complex is an affordable place to live if you qualify for the moderate income program! The one thing I did like was the maintenance team is amazing and quick to fix any problem. The most common, clogged tub, they would fix it the same day. I really appreciate that!
The pools and jacuzzi were not always cleaned and sometimes they were not turned on, even though they say they’re supposed to be all year round heated. This is a complex for families for sure and not for young people. In the pool areas you will find kids all the time, even in the jacuzzi and without supervision. Management could do better enforcing the rules.
They are dog friendly. Which I like but their dog park is never cleaned and most of the people who live there who have dogs do not clean after their dog. There’s poop all around the gardens and specially in the dog park area.
The trail behind the complex is very convenient to walk your dog or jog if you like to exercise.
The parking garage is convenient, I never had any problems when guest came over to visit. There was always parking available. My new car did get keyed, although I am not sure if this happened in the complex.
The neighbors can be a bit annoying if you have a dog. I ran into a lady in the elevator and she literally screamed as soon as the door opened and she saw my dog. Needless to say I didn’t get in the elevator, I just took the stairs. I literally got the same reaction every day for a year!
There are some other neighbors who were super friendly though.
I do recommend this place to live for a while if you can qualify for the moderate income program, otherwise I suggest you find something better...
