Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, awesome jacuzzi & and pool, but horrible experience parking my SUV here. I parked closest to the hotel parking area which is very well lit and closest to the hotel path and not near Target, and my back window got broken into, and I had some items stolen which were not in view, my SUV was ransacked with broken glass everywhere. I was parked there before 8pm the night before and was not notified about it until 2 pm. the next day. I was even told one of the managers was parked next to me. I was also advised that they didn't have cameras in that area. However, there are other hotel doors in that vicinity. I was also told security left at 5am, however each time I have stayed at the hotel which has been a couple of times, the security guard was always inside the hotel lobby sitting and several times even sleeping. The hotel did not offer any help. Unfortunately, I will not be staying again at this hotel due to not feeling safe. This trip cost me more money, stress, and anxiety. Being a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Member, this is not the experience I expected from a Marriott hotel.

Stayed here for an appointment at the Stanford Cancer center. There is a Target in the same parking lot. Beautiful hotel, excellent friendly staff, plenty of lounge seating, great ambiance, a nice business center and fitness room with laundry services as well. I agree the walls are thin the hotel but it was pretty quiet. There is a pool and jacuzzi and a bistro that offers multiple food options. It has great and immediate freeway access to the 237 I wanna say but conveniently located. There are multiple story office buildings right across the street. Plenty of parking available. The rooms have a nice bar set up with a fridge. There is a sofa couch along with king size bed so the accommodations were nice. They have both traditional and USB plugs in the sofa and on the room clock. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo.

Stayed there just for 1 night. Service was prompt, rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was delicious. Breakfast is not included by default, none the less, breakfast was prompt and fresh. Rooms were noisy, could hear the upstairs folks. overall, not the most modern hotel but good location and good for a good night sleep update from May 2025: Similar experience as before. 3rd floor rooms were noisy as well. Gym was good and clean. update from July 2025: Similar experience as before. 4th floor rooms were noisy as well 😊 Tried their breakfast this time again. Was fairly large portions

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in the third week of May 2023. It was the worst hotel stay I have had. Water was out most of the stay. It was full of sediment when it was working. The fire alarm was on at night. Even when we were allowed to go back, the fire alarm continued to blare.

I gave it two stars since there was some staff that was truly trying to help and give bottles of water even though most of the staff acted like this is normal: "don't worry about flushing the toliet".

The weekend prior to my stay, I went camping at the Observatory Campground at Palomar Mountain. Let me compare and contrast my stay at the hotel vs. the campground:

  1. Observatory Campground has flush toilets. Courtyard Marriott does not have water or flush toilets.
  2. The campground has coin-operated showers. During my stay, I walked to Target to get some bottle water, so I could wash up. At least the Target was in walking distance and opens at 8a. 2a) The campground has hot water. The hotel does not have water and is full of sediment when it did have water.
  3. At night, there is a sound of a creek running near the campsite. At Courtyard, there is a fire alarm running and guest have to evacuate even though there is no fire. After we are allowed back, the alarm continue to make sleep impossible.
  4. Observatory campground cost $15/night. My double queen with sofa bed average right above $450/night with tax.

The hotel refused to discount the stay. They offered some points though that would not even cover 1 night of a stay at the same hotel for a...

Picked this hotel per its availability and close proximity to my business visit. Upon arrival noticed a long check-in line and a receptionist who seemed to be in training. I also noticed there was an option for keyless check-in through app. Even though I am a Bonvoy member, I was not made aware of this prior to check-in date. The hotel and room is well maintained but no sign of food or drink. There is a breakfast option which I also found out about it during check-in process. Hotel room was very nice but right above a noisy street. I am a light sleeper and had difficulty getting continuous sleep through the night during the traffic. I loved the bed which nicely catered to my bad back. Room thermostat seem to be inoperative. By default it was turned off and it took me a while to realize that. Once turned on, no matter what temperature I set it to, all I heard was the fan's noise. It pretty much worked throughout the night without reaching to the temperature I wanted it to reach (10 degrees warmer). Shower had a nice flow. They use refillable containers for soap, shampoo and conditioner but the labels on the containers is very problematic with people with trained eyes. I had to get out, find my glasses and figure out which is which. The water also smelled very similar to sewer water. I am sure there is no conditioning in this hotel. The checkout process was very smooth. In summary; as I said, a decent...
