Fishery Supply — Attraction in San Jose

I've been going here for years for bait mostly because they open up early on the weekends when most places are closed. So if you are headed out in the morning and need to grab bait at 6am, head to fishery supply. Prices on bait have risen and seem rather expensive but hey, you pay the price for them to be open so early. The staff are also pretty friendly and will give you deals on poles, reels, and other items as they see fit. Randomly they just throw a discount at you on the price and it's always a pleasant surprise. This place has everything you need for quick pickups for fishing trips but they don't carry all the types of lures and baits somewhere like a Bass Pro would. However, the stuff fishery carries is all quality and a lot of high end stuff. Check em out. You can even grab Lee's sandwiches for lunch later after you leave there. Came to the store to buy a pole for pier. As I walked in you do not get recognized for help do they not offer help at all but they are sure fast enough to start following you around the store specially the old little man and when you ask them if he works there he answer yes but doesn't know anything about fishing and point stores the lady in the front counter. The lady ringing you up does not know the right amount of price for each item the receipt comes out as other things that you bought as I waited in line I noticed when when their people come in they do not get ringed up they get a discount solid $20 price or $40 price out the door this place is very bad for business but the only fishing store in San Jose I suggest we all just take the trip down to coyote bait and tackle down south San Jose it's worth it and way better...

They put 65 lb braided line on my reel. I bought 2 boxes frozen squid and gave me a nice discount that I was not expecting 🙌🙌

A little language barrier at first. I just treated them with respect and kindness. Isn't that what we all are longing for? Especially during this non-alcoholic Corona virus time 😝

But a little kindness goes a long way. So let's all be a little self focused and humble during these sheltering times. Show some human kindness towards our fellow human beings.
