My first experience here was uh.. how do I say it, surprising. The owner is very communicative, which can be good or bad depending on if you're an introvert or extrovert. This review is going to be focused on the coffee beans as well as 1 flavor of their gelato. I ordered a #1 iced black coffee and a #12 mojo affogato with the flavor being "stranocciola hazelnut with nutella swirls".
From the #1 iced black coffee alone, the taste is comparable to Peets Major Dickason's blend in terms of sour and bitter balance. It was listed as Americano but it wasn't diluted with water. Just black coffee and ice! Plus, it wasn't full of ice like Starbucks. It's equivalent to picking the light ice option at Starbucks. The cup size is also large, I estimate around 24oz. It is a little on the higher end in terms of price but the beans are good quality so I don't mind. The caffeine content also seems decently high.
Onto the #12 mojo affogato - the pricing listed as $2.50 is just the affogato topping alone, the gelato is a separate $4.10 charge, so if you order it please be aware of that before getting mad at the owner. He did explain to me in advance, so he is not out to cheat customers with the price listed on the board. Taste wise, nothing to complain about. The hazelnut nutella gelato was delicious alone, the chilled affogato topping was worth the extra $2.50 as it did not melt the Nutella gelato.
Remember to ask the owner how he prices things before you order - I've seen plenty of bad reviews and it was because they either didn't read or didn't listen and somehow ended up with an expensive bill.
There is a $0.50 charge when using credit cards when the item is under $10 (and it's listed on the cash register so read it first).
Ah, there is also a really cute dog that wanders the shop. I don't mind but people with dog allergies should be aware. The dog, named Fashion, is extremely friendly and docile. I'd come here just to pet her haha.
I've also included my receipt if any of you all are curious of the price breakdown.
Overall, it's a nice little shop and I recommend people visit. Just be aware of pricing before you order.
Also the owner promises a refund if you don't like the drink he made, so if you don't like the taste you get...
Read moreThis place has the best customer service of any boba milk tea place Iâve ever been to.
First let me start off by the their service. The owner was working my himself when me and my friends came in and he was very busy. He was making multiple drinks continually but still managed to keep us entertained. As he was working quickly he would check in on us and give us free samples of ice cream and drinks without us even having to ask, he was so friendly and funny it was definitely a unique experience. He explained that every drink has a story behind it which explains the very creative names of each drink. And let me tell you itâs worth knowing the stories behind these names! The shop is very clean and organized with a lot of room for sitting and hanging out. In the corner of the room youâll see the sweetest little dog hanging out too. Donât be afraid sheâs very sweet and I had so much fun playing with her while our order was finishing up. She also does tricks! As for the quality of the drinks, ice cream, and other desserts it was amazing! After trying the free sample I was already taken back on how good the ice cream here is! You canât go wrong with it at all! The flavor is very rich and satisfying! The boba here is also very good! The fruit drinks are very refreshing and high quality as well. The owner even showed me his fruits and toppings and I can honestly say itâs high quality and very clean working area.
I really think this place deserves a full five stars. The pricing here is very decent! We came in for normal boba but got entertainment, ice cream, drinks, and a fun time with the little dog. Iâll definitely be coming back here soon! I recommend everyone should check this place out. Youâll like the owner, service, and drinks/desserts I...
Read moreI had terrible experience at this store. I feel the owner is like money digger trying to steal money from customer.
The owner looked so nice at the beginning and said he would make a drink for me. It was late evening and I was the only customer so I thought he will make me a free drink (I asked him if it was free and he didn't say no). Then he started selling me other food and desserts. I wanted to be nice so I bought a dessert but later he told me I have to pay for the drink he made to me also. Honestly I only wanted to get a drink from the menu, but ended up paying a dessert and a drink I didn't want. He let me open and taste the dessert and drink before asking for payment so that I had no choice but to pay. I feel I was forced to pay so I argued. I tried to talk to him nicely and told him there was miscommunication, but the owner then behaved ugly and questioned me why did I think there is free drink. Excuse me? Have you heard Buy One Get One? Why do you think there is no free drink?
I saw on yelp that some other customers had similar experience at this store. The owner makes some drinks/food and then charge them something they actually don't want. I feel it's a very inappropriate way to sell your product. Please treat your customer with more respect.
Also most of the food/drinks are overpriced. I saw on the menu the boba/coffee is usually $8~11. I don't think they are worth that much.
I don't know why it gets many good reviews and ratings. Maybe other customers got lucky and thought the owner and staff look nice. But please be careful, there might be trap and they will try to ask you pay something extra without your notice. Based on my own experience, please try to avoid this place...
