This was my first time here. I came here by myself hoping to get a summer strawberry focaccia for home and some fruit for a hike I was planning on going on. I arrived towards the end (12:40p) but they were all sold out of the focaccia. If you plan on going, go during the first hour. I will definitely be trying my luck again on the 21st of this month.
Now the reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because when I first walked up to the stand the Consentino family was telling the customers that they could pack the fruit for us. When I finally decided on what I wanted to get, the older blonde woman of the family told me in a short tone that she can either pack up the fruit or I can do it myself. I told her I’d like her to pack the fruit up. She did not seem happy to hear that and proceeded to speak to me in a short tone while all the while speaking to the other customers in a very friendly tone. I walked out of there without a thank you or goodbye (again this was said to other customers). If it were not for my interactions with the other family members I would have given this place 1 star.
I will try my luck again later this month (earlier this time),and hopefully with a completely different attitude and disposition...
Read moreWent to buy some fruit and pumpkins. After buying some fruit we went to the pumpkin patch and my 5 year old daughter saw a huge pumpkin and went to hug it. The old owner immediately went at my daughter. “Don’t touch the pumpkin, it cost $120!” It’s a pumpkin patch, if you don’t want kids to touch them, maybe you’re in the wrong business. My daughter was immediately downbeat cuz she was reprimanded by some stranger for nothing. Anyhow we left shortly after and made sure not to buy the pumpkins there. I honestly wanted to go at the owner for even talking to my daughter and return the over priced $30 fruit I just bought. Decided to take the higher road and be a good example for my kiddos. Anyway I won’t be coming back anymore. I like supporting small family business, which is why I’ve been coming for a while, but not rude...
Read moreWhat a delightful place, right here in the middle of suburbia! We should all be grateful to the Cosentino Family for preserving this little bit of heaven. While I've lived in the South Bay for a while, today is the first time I've been there. I've been missing out on deliciously fresh fruits and vegetables, pop-up foods, special events, and a whole array of locally made jams, condiments, and baked goods. And what a great time to bring your family to visit the pumpkin patch! Do yourself a favor, visit Cosentinos and support a local family and farm fresh produce, and enjoy a lovely time with your...
