Sushi Island — Restaurant in San Jose

I order online and picked up in store, it was too busy at that time, so everything was good. Overall, we are satisfied! 👍 Glad to find another go to Japanese place around the neighborhood. We order 4 items - #1. Bento 1 - Salmon teriyaki+ California roll - everything as expected. #2. Bento 2 - Chicken katsu + assorted tempura - everything as expected! #3. Chirashi Don - 5 different type of fish, all very fresh, decent size cut! Enjoyed every bite of the sashimi n #4. Fish taco - I like the layers in this food order. No actual taco, but seared fish + crispy seaweed + "salsa" was a good combination! There's jalapenos pieces in the salsa, wasn't expecting that spiciness.

Solid dining experience at Sushi Island. We ordered a selection of special rolls, apps, and hand rolls. All were very good. Garlic Edamame was insanely good. Salmon kama was slightly overcooked, cheek was excellent but remaining portion of it was dry. Rolls were all delicious.

Service was good and our tea cups were never empty.

Excited to finally have a sushi place in the area that I’m happy to return to.

Best Tempura I have ever had! Crispy and fresh. You can just taste the freshness of the veggies and fish. I had the 2 item Bento Box with assorted Tempura and Spicy Tuna Roll. And because my eyes are bigger than my stomach and everything looked so amazing, I added a Dragon Roll and the Tempura Shrimp even held up in the roll.
