A sad fair, the organizers utterly failed and I don’t even want to give 1 star, but I’m forced otherwise I can’t post this. Santa Clara County is one of the most profitable counties in California because we are ground zero for the high tech industry, such as Google. I/we went to the fair last night and was shocked by the lack of actual county representation. The ‘County Fair’ should show case the bests of the county.
The fair is literally the worst fair I had ever been to in my life, we were there Friday from 6-8pm. We left out of sheer boredom.
1.) The main entrance advertisement sign that’s supposed to be facing the street is actually backwards, so u don’t know what’s even going on in there if u drive by. 2.) Stage highlights: square dancing & Vietnam dancers - this was the highlights. That’s it for Friday Night. 3.) The approximately 10k sq ft art building had no climate control, so it was really hot and had stale air - not a single person in the art building. 4.) The location is the area where 99% crime and murders happens in Santa Clara County. Why is this the location for the County Fair? That makes no sense at all. 5.) The sheep and rabbits were cool, but then there were several cages with fake chickens in the FFA/4H chicken area. Why would we want to see fake animals in the live animal area?
As far as the rides, etc. it reminded me of being in a fly by night cheap carnival.
I conclude, I/we will never go back it’s just not a true snapshot representation of beautiful...
Read moreEvery time im there i have an experience not worth going back. I dont even want to comment because of bad memories but i will. Bubble Run- Why on EARTH would you have a bubble run through the mud and not allow us to use the water to hose ourselves off before getting into our vehicles?? And WHY was there no security to make sure nobody drowned trying to move past the people standing in the bubbles taking selfies??
Dinosaur Tour- You have an amazing publicist. That event was horrible!!! For it to be so expensive, all there was were stationary dinosaurs that hardly moved. The T-Rex literally opened and closed its jaws.. That's it!! The commercials made it seems as though it would be some life-changing eye opening experience. It was a complete let down. And to top it off, there were things to do like the virtual reality, basketball hoop, balloon pop, face paint, etc. BUT they cost 1 ticket each person. Get this, the tickets were $5 Each. For my 4 kids to get their faces painted =$20!...
