And if you have to, Willow Glen Funeral Home is the place to go if you’re in the San Jose area. Cristina Escobar has been in the business a long time and is very knowledgeable. Not only that, she’s very empathetic during such a difficult time.

My mother had a pre-planned funeral, which made things easier. However, since I live in a different state, there was some more work involved with flying back and forth with her ashes. Cristina made sure I had all the relevant permits and paperwork necessary.

I didn’t return for another year to scatter my mother’s ashes, but service at Willow Glen was seamless. Cristina made sure I got the salt urn my mother had ordered to bring her ashes to sea.

Remains are cremated with an identifier tag, so you know you are getting the ashes of your loved one.

The staff were accommodating to our needs and communication was great. Whenever we had questions, it was answered within the day or next through email. Cristina (person who helped us) was very compassionate and very knowledgable about her field. Would recommend Willow Glenn to anyone in need of this type of service. It was also nice that the day is dedicated to one family without having to deal with other families. Was able to grieve in peace and the swing shift staff was attentive even to the last minutes of the viewing. The pastor that was chosen for us by Cristina was also great and had a very good message for the entire family about life itself. From the beginning to the end, it followed the program smoothly. We couldn't have been any more pleased with the services we received from Willow Glen Funeral Home. Maria and her team were so accommodating since we had a fairly complicated Buddhist ceremony where the settings, arrangement and timings for rituals had to be just right. Everything went smoothly from the start to the moment our mom was buried. Maria's staff were there until the end to take care of logistics and gathering things. Other things we liked about Willow Glen Funeral Home is that we had the whole place to just our family, so guests don't have poke their heads into each room to find the right funeral. And lastly, the place was so spacious with a reception room, an optional spacious dinning room, all separate from the high pitched ceiling for the main service with plenty of seating and natural bright light from the many windows.
