We frequented Cedar Point many times this year. Choosing to stay at different locations depending on price, availability and duration. This time we stayed at in a cottage at Lighthouse Point. We know when we go, the place we stay is for sleeping and preparing for the next day. We spend nearly all of our time in the park. From the beginning, finding where to drive on the peninsula was well indicated with signs. Check-in was at the building at right when you pull in. The staff were very nice and our place was ready to go. We had a map with a path drawn to our cottage. Easy to find and there was plenty of parking. We lucked out and were planted between the pool and Lake Erie…which was awesome!! The unit itself is showing its age and things were slightly worn but it was clean and only had a hue of wood smell inside. Plenty of towels, wash cloths, and bedding. I would advise to bring your own pillow. Mamma Chettas delivered pizza after park close, right to the cottage. Which they had a menu for right in the park office. I knew it would be wise to have a backup plan for dinner, in case the kids didn’t want to stop riding coasters….the plan worked out well. We also grabbed Starbucks from Hotel breakers before hitting the park for early entry (free with your resort stay). If you plan to do the same, be sure to get there with plenty of time for the Starbucks line. Check out was even easier than check in and we were still able to park in the lot near the “Magnum” entrance. We kept the car there until leaving for the day about 2 hours before park close. We had no traffic to contend with and it was awesome! We are already planning for a stay next year!

We arrived two hours after check in and we're told where our site was. We go to the site and there is an RV parked there. We go back to office to be told sorry that they have been calling them all day to remove the RV but have only gotten voicemail. I asked what was my family suppose to do after being on the road for five hours wait for them to leave the park? They said they were fully booked but they could cut 50% off my first night if we parked on their emergency site and move it again the next day. I told them no I would not do that because it's to much work to move that we would prefer to be playing at the park then moving our rv. After looking again they found an open spot and I accepted it. I then asked if I was going to get 50% off my first night still and I was told no because they fixed the problem. I'm not impressed that I was given such a run around right away and given nothing in return for a problem that was not caused by our doing. When it comes to the park it is beautiful and well kept. It's parked much further away from the cedar point entrance but they do provide a free shuttle. They also have a wonderful free splash pad and pool. My biggest issue is the restrictions they have. It's not camping to me. No tents, bikes, skateboards or fires! YES you read that right! No fires! What is camping if you can't have a fire? My kids and I were heart broken to not be able to roast marshmallows over a fire. A campground without fires is crazy. You can bring your own fire pit if it doesn't ruin their grass. Or pay for an ultimate site.

We decided to book the deluxe cabin number 134 to be exact because it was part of the package great location for sure a minute walk to the beach. My 3 stars are for these reasons mosquitoes were a problem they provided no citronella which is fine we should of probably packed it ourselves but the bugs were everywhere even in the cabin as you can tell from the pictures. Other than that the cabin was clean besides a few dead spiders that were already there when we got there.the cabin is supposed to sleep 10 we had 4 2 adults and 2 kids the upstairs loft was perfect for the kids because the ceilings were so low. The fridge did stay cold and the microwave worked well. The walk to the park itself was a 5 minute walk if that. The temperature was perfect not to hot not to cold bring your own blankets because the blankets they have there are paper thin and if you forget your own you will be cold. The telephone service if you had any questions was amazing very responsive and polite. Dominoes was quick to. Trash was an issue I would make it so there was a dumpster every so many cabins because the only trash place was a small trash can outside the cabins and everyone was using them. Checkout time was 11 which was ok we felt a little rushed because obviously kids are tired from walking all day but that is my own preference. Overall was a great stay I would of rather had the on the beach cabins maybee next time. The showers worked well to there was hot water and plenty of towels if you forgot your own.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE! Take your family it is a must. The only thing though is that it is expensive. And I am just going to be truthful, just because sometime over a decade ago or so, hotels and so forth jumped on the bandwagon of changing the times for check in to much later in the day, in my opinion and , it's not ok! Still getting charged the full price for part of a day. I would visit much more often if it were not for things like this and the increasing costs! I found a hotel nearby after visiting here and my next visit I will be staying there while visiting cedar point. Camping is of course a different experience than any however it is worth saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars . We would have saved over $1,000 had I looked before my family member booked. Still, it does not take away from the memories that we gained and it was worth it. I do not think that it is worth paying almost $2,000 for 3 days at a campsite and 3 days visit at a theme park. If you do that, unless you have tons of money, I would make it like a one-time thing & then in the future make your accommodations elsewhere.

I have camped elsewhere in a different area In Ohio and it was a great experience as it was not connected to a theme park. But I do have to say that lighthouse point campsite was even better than the one that we had been to. The cabin we stayed in was not the smallest one but it was not the biggest one either. Everything worked as it should. But there was a stench that was there upon arrival and stayed the whole time of course. The bath tub was in some serious need of Drano. By the time the second person took a shower which was back-to-back from the 1st person, the water was nearly at the top of the tub. Which means that their legs was in dirty water the entire time while trying to shower. The only other complaint I have is that one would think that just like any other place that there would be a Time in the evening in which people are expected to quiet down so that people can sleep. The ppl who were across from us, I believe was they said they always rent 3 cabins every year and they book the next year before leaving. We were in cabin 506. And the cabin across from us was 94. At midnight they were STILL yelling, laughing extremely loud and several cabins had to have been able to hear them bc they were that loud! Idk if they were drunk or what. But I fully expected that there was going to be some type of complaints the next morning. And I didn't even have to say a word because I knew that others would have been upset. I was sleeping on the futon in the cabin and couldn't even sleep bc they were that loud . We all understand the point of camping and hang fun. But there should be some type of noise ordinance. At the very least respect your neighbors, if not by 10 or 1030, then at least by 11pm But to still have them being EXTREMELY loud at midnight and beyond was WAY too much. I took videos of course. My recommendation to others who may consider this place, is to be considerate of everyone in your circle ( there are maybe like 10 cabins in a circe). Understand that's it's not just u and your family. Plz don't be rude , be respectful. I live close to Kings Island and in my opinion, I like KI better. But the landscape is far better at cedar point. What matters though is what the kids thought. They thought cedar point was better. They said they had better thrill rides etc. BUT the wait times are RIDICULOUS! Make sure you have plenty of time for rides bc whatever you're used to having time wise, make sure you add plenty of time on top of that. Bc you will ride far less ride than you're used to! The last day of our visit cedar point has several rides down. The wait times were already really bad but it made it FAR worse bc then everybody went to the other instead and it added to the already ridiculous time they had in the 1st place. Overall, it's work trying lighthouse once and cedar point together. Otherwise , just know you can get You're accommodations far cheaper elsewhere and still spend your time at...

We booked a 3-night stay in cottage at Lighthouse Point with a one day pass to Cedar Point Park to celebrate my 60th birthday. After spending the day in the park on Friday, August 1, 2025, we returned to our cottage at 9:15PM. We immediately noticed that someone had been in the cottage as the damp towels & wash cloths that I laid across the bathroom sink & tub were gone & all fresh towels were placed. None of the garbage was emptied, toilet paper wasn't replenished, nothing else was done except replacing the towels. We immediately knew that this was wrong as they advertised, & state when we made the reservation, that they do not offer housekeeping service unless requested or staying for one night. Neither applied to us. So, I called the Lighthouse Point front desk at 9:30PM & explained the situation (from cottage phone), I was immediately told that you don’t offer that, I said I was aware, but clearly a staff member had been in our cottage without our authorization & asked that check the key card system. He then said they will contact housekeeping & call me back. He called me back on my cell phone at 9:38PM, & said that yes, housekeeping was there & they “normally” will do that if they have “extra staff” (seriously???), if that’s true then why not do the “complete housekeeping” duties, i.e. empty garbage cans, make bed & replenish toilet paper, why only towels? He just said we don’t do that until you check out (WHAT???) Then why just the towels? He could not explain that then asked me if anything was taken, I said I don’t know yet as I was still upset that someone entered without our permission. I said it’s stated on your website & reservation notice that there is NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING UNLESS UPON REQUEST, we did not request. By law if they advertise that they don’t offer daily housekeeping, they have NO AUTHORIZATION to enter the space we have rented for 3 nights UNLESS: Emergency (fire, medical), Maintenance emergency & Wellness check, NONE APPLIED. As we packed up to leave early the next morning, we realized that there were several items missing The items were small & trivial; I was more shaken that they entered without permission. We would never have left anything laying around if we thought someone was going to enter while we were out. We felt that the front desk person knew that what had happened was wrong but didn’t seem surprised. This was our first time visiting, we actually enjoyed everything until we realized that their employees can just enter to any rented space without the renter’s knowledge or approval. This was the only issue we had. We had a cottage on the lake, it was dated & the structure around the entrance door had a large hole & many cracks. The floors were clearly not swept. The bugs don't bother us, as we expected that with a cottage on the lake.

This was a trip for my 60th birthday & they put a...

Just stayed here for 2 nights in the cabins with 3 friends on a double date. Had a very good time until the last day/night. I have a psycho ex girlfriend who stalks me. She saw pictures on social media of our group at the park and started texting all of us threatening to come there. Nobody posted anything that would let her know where we were staying. We even went so far as to alert the desk to not give our cabin number to anyone, to which they agreed. Low and behold at 3am when parking is for resort guests only the stalker managed to get into the resort. I don’t have proof that she paid someone at the desk for our room number but she was bragging to mutual friends that she slipped someone on staff a $20 and the following day they would not give us names of employees the previous night to give to police. And after she got this information she kicked in the front door jumped on the bed and started punching and kicking me and my friend at 3am. When police came she told them we invited her which we all had threatening texts to prove otherwise and she told them that I pushed her out of the cabin that she drove 8 hours to break into and assault us. She also stole my wallet and cedar point police refused to search her car to recover it. I’m a small business owner and all of my company cards and licenses were in this wallet along with cash. The final ultimatum that police gave us was to either both parties press charges and go to jail (me for pushing her out of the cabin she drove 8 hours to break in,assault people and steal from what a JOKE!) or let “bygones be bygones”. They obviously did not want to do their job and could care less about guests safety. All they cared about was the thousand dollars we spent. The next morning we called the police again hoping to talk to someone interested in doing their job and they promised to investigate (we will see if anything comes of it but I doubt it). This place is very unsafe and corrupt and when we brought our issues to management in the morning they told us we were a half hour late for check out. Do not stay here it is unsafe and staff is corrupt. I stayed at hotel breakers in 2014 and would highly recommend them over this joke of a campground. Literally the worst vacation of my life and I would not recomend this place to my...
