Cedar Creek Mine Ride — Attraction in Sandusky

Now keep in mind before you read this, that I base my reviews on my personal experiences. Meaning if I just sat in the wrong seat and that made it a terrible ride or something then that will affect the review. That's exactly the case for this review. I think I sat in the wrong seat for this ride. I sat in the very back. Which sucks because you really get whipped over those transitions so quickly and it hurts. It hurts badly. I'd say it's worse than Mean Streak. Cedar Creek Mine Ride was just so unbearably painful. Now I'm sure if I sat in the front, my opinion would have been drastically different. Special place in my heart for this coaster as it's one of two I was able to talk my father (who hates thrill rides), into riding with me, but ultimately it's quite the bore.

No lines are a plus, but, excitement level for a coaster couldn't get any worse. There's no drops and no speed, but, lots of jerky stops and turns that doesn't do much besides throw you around a bit.

I could see why others, kids, families and sorts may be advocates for this coaster but with so many better other things (disaster transport!) that have been torn out to make room for something new, I've got to continuously question, how this still has managed to not...

My significant other and I had just finished riding Blue Streak and then we stumbled upon this one. This ride had storage bins to put your belongings.

I enjoyed the theme it had from standing in line up until rolling through the covered area they had in the beginning of the ride. It had a calm essence to it the whole time in my opinion. There weren’t any extreme moments. My ride went smooth. The water surrounding the track was a nice feature!

Overall, this ride was mild in my opinion. It seemed to be a good entry-level experience for someone wanting to try out their first ride. I still enjoyed it!
