What to say about Sanibel Island Northern Beach Park? What a great park for picture taking!! Just go in between the strip of beach in between the Lighthouse and the pier and take a panoramic photo to frame at home all by yourself. The parking is less and you have to run to the bathrooms which are by the Lighthouse itself, but it's worth it as everything is clean and people respect. You do pay $5 per hour to park but it's totally worth it, especially because your walk to the beach is considerably less than at other parks. Highly recommend it!

The best place to collect shells. They have a beautiful beach which you can walk and find sand castles and sand art. Then visit the Sanibel Pier to fish or enjoy the view.

Definitely not the best shelling beach. The beaches up in Sarasota and Pinellas County and 10000 islands are a lot better. The parking patrols are a joke. One came banging on my window today, 11-17. So I rolled down my window for the rude ass lady and the first thing I said was my mom is handicap. Then she proceeded to say I don't see your plate in our system. Then again, I said handicap and pointed at the sticker clearly showing in the window. She then proceeded to roll her eyes and walked away. Watch the locals at the stop signs and on bikes they won't even stop at the stop signs. I won't be going back to sanibel...

Stopped by while on vacation in Florida. Would consider coming back in the future, but we went looking for other beaches on this particular vacation.

Pros: Nice beach with trees near the water providing natural shade. Has restroom facilities and rinse-off stations. Shells (collecting) Variety of birds and animals

Cons: Parking is very expensive ($5/hour) and difficult to find when it's busy. Seaweed collecting on the shore makes the area less enjoyable for young kids. Shells (stepping on). You have to pay $6 to go across the Sanibel Causeway bridge if you want to get here, unless you have a...
