I am in tears writing this out of both happiness and eternal gratitude.
I broke my face (quite literally) during my reception and bled ALL over my wedding gown. Though some friends and bridesmaids were able to get some of the blood out near the belly, I didn't understand the amount of damage until the next morning in daylight. The train was ruined from not being bustled and blood covered literally every surface. This dress is the most precious thing I have ever owned and seeing it ruined was heart-wrenching. I considered this a total loss and began to mourn the day and the dress.
With the encouragement of a friend, I called Style Cleaners on Saturday and explained the situation. I was set to leave the country on Wednesday so I knew inquiring about a project like this was step one of being a nightmare customer. The associate on the phone (I'm so bummed I didn't get his name) was so understanding about the situation. He gave me a quote for the expedited service and encouraged me to bring in the dress to be inspected. When we arrived, he was reassuring despite being a little shocked by the actual damage. He made it very clear that there was no guarantee the blood would come out, but they would do their very best. The price of the cleaning (and repair of the strap) was steep, but I knew the undertaking was a significant one.
Fast forward to Wednesday morning, I didn't know what to expect. What I definitely did not expect was a brand new spanking dress. I'm not even kidding you, there is not a trace of blood to be found. They also got out some of the stains from it being a sample gown! I hugged this beauty the whole way home (and clearly shed a few tears because of their sorcery). Thank you to the incredible team at Style Cleaners. You've given this dress a second life. I'm so excited to be able to wear it...
Read moreTook a jacket with leather sleeves and a leather collar to get repaired and cleaned. In the end, they got the awful smell out, the fabric looks a million times better, and the repairs look promising. Great job, just took a heap of time, but I appreciate them.
All these places in San Diego send their leather out to get cleaned. They told me over the phone (after two weeks) that they couldn't clean it without either ruining the repair or making the tear worse. (The people come to take and drop off their leather every two weeks, so that might've been why.) I went in and told them to go ahead with the repair, and they told me they'd try to spot clean and steam clean the fabric with no charge without sending it out for the leather cleaning.
It took a very long time, and I had to come back a few times for them to tell me it's not done yet. I also told them to not worry about it, I don't need a jacket during summer, but they told me they'd refund me for the cleaning.
I offered to pay, so they only gave me a partial refund. $35 I think, which was about half the original cleaning price. I was told it was irregular and they had three people working on it.
In the end, communication could've been a little bit better, cause I probably showed up 3-4 times to pick it up. But they got the awful smell out, the fabric looks a million times better, and the repairs look promising.
Great job, over all just took a heap of time, but I...
Read moreMy First and Last time using this business. BE WARNED On June 1st I called Styles about minor alterations and dry cleaning RUSH on a wedding dress. The owner Charlene said for us to come on down and she would be able to do the dress and have it ready by 4pm June 4th as noted on our receipt which i paid for all work upfront. $500 to be exact. Upon calling them all day to get a status update on the dress the phone went straight voicemail which was full and could not hold anymore messages. So the bride-to-be and mother in law with a few family friends went to go pick up the dress at 4pm as stated on the receipt. When they arrived they could not locate the dress nor did it show any professionalism and organization on their end. This was on Saturday as they are closed on Sundays and the wedding was on Monday. Charlene the owner told my daughter to come back tomorrow since they couldn't find the dress..but how were they to pick up the dress on a day when they were CLEARLY closed?? So we demanded we would not leave til the dress was found and finished since it was paid in full upfront. When they finally found the dress the alterations were not done, the dress was being dragged all over their dirty floor. My daughter waited until they finished the dress I hope you will take my rant and frustration into consideration before being a new customer. They seem to only value their...
