I recently dined at IHOP and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The slow service and various mishaps overshadowed what could have been a pleasant meal.
Upon arrival, the first red flag was the wait time to be seated. Despite the restaurant not being busy, it took over 10 minutes for us to be led to our table. To make matters worse, when we were finally taken to our table, it was still being cleaned. This left us standing awkwardly, feeling quite uncomfortable.
The service didn't improve once we were seated. It took over 10 minutes for a server to come and take our drink orders. Considering how empty the restaurant was, this delay was perplexing. When our drinks finally arrived, my coffee cup had lipstick stains on it. It was disappointing to see such a glaring lack of attention to detail.
Bringing the issue to the server's attention took another 10 minutes, during which time we were also in need of water refills. Waiting for the cup to be replaced and for our water glasses to be refilled was both frustrating and time-consuming. This delay significantly affected the overall flow of our meal.
Moving on to the food itself, it was unfortunately underwhelming. While I wasn't expecting gourmet cuisine, the dishes were disappointingly bland. The lack of flavor was a letdown, especially considering that IHOP is known for its breakfast offerings. The food, though not terrible, failed to meet even modest expectations.
In summary, my visit to this IHOP location was far from enjoyable. The slow service, the initial wait for a table, the issues with cleanliness and the lackluster food collectively created a disappointing experience. I hope that the restaurant can address these concerns and improve its overall service quality for future customers. As it stands, I cannot recommend this particular IHOP location based on my...
Read moreFirst-time coming to this place IHOP location on Santee. We got there at 11:34am. Waited for a seat it was 11:52am. I seen chaos going on. Finally they called us and seated us to a booth that I told the hostess can you assign us to another table. She (short Mexican lady with dark brown hair, curly hair wearing glasses) said this is what I have for now. It was tight around my stomach. I had to sit up straight in order to fit. She told us you have to used plastic fork and knife 🗡. Because they dishwasher is broken and we don't have any water. I noticed that the customers behind us had sliver forks and knives. So we place the order and wait for a long time. We were the last one to get our order. I wanted to leave until here it comes. The food was Luke-warmed. The waitress (Cristina)was really rude manner towards us. She said anything else? I told her after this bring the check. We were out of IHOP at 2:00pm. I was very upset on how we were treated and why if something happens, the hostress should of close the door and explained why the IHOP was suddenly closed.oh no. They were still accepting walk-ins customers and not telling them what is the problem. Just take orders and let the customer wait for the food to be served for a quite a long time. And not get a discount for long periods of time. I never had a horrible experience with this IHOP especially with the hostess and waitress that were very rude to us in a time of long period of waiting for the order to be served. This is a horrible place. I rate this IHOP A...
Read moreHorrible. Do not go here. When i first arrived, the booths are so small, i couldnt sit down. I had to sit at a table because i didnt have enough space. The menus were gross and sticky, the seats were wet and sticky. The food LOOKS good but it is VERY BAD QUALITY. I got a blueberry sprite drink, it was good. The sausage was good. I ordered a side of red chopped potatoes but I received hashbrowns with no explanation. I got strawberry banana french toast and it was absolutely HORRIBLE. The bread was completely freezer burnt and even my sister said it tasted weird. I'm pretty sure it was pre-made french toast that was in the freezer for three months or more, and thawed out in the microwave. Either that, or they thawed out the freezer burnt bread, threw an egg yolk on the pan, and heated it up maybe. I refuse to believe a chef actually made it from scratch because it tasted fake. I am NOT coming here again. I wasted my money coming here. I didnt even want to pay for my meal because it was that horrible. The waitress took my hashbrowns when i was only halfway done with them. And she didn't ask if i was still eating and I was like.. what the heck??? Im giving it two stars because it wasn't completely filthy, and the food was at least edible. But definitely i will NOT be going back. Absolutely waste of time and money. I didn't even finish...
