Went here in Oct 2024 for a consult. That went well. Made appt for Dec. Later I moved the appt to Feb as my hair needed to grow more. I have had many bad hair cuts and bad service and this placd knew that. Now, 3 days before my appt I have a family issue and needed to reschedule. My stylist is not able to be rescheduled by the app so I called. Left a message. The next day I was texted about rescheduling. Half way through the text I am ghosted. I then called the salon. No answer, left another message. I then prompted the convo again and she says she is very busy and will get back to me. Two hours later, nothing. For a hair salon that charges $165 an hour, (yes, that is what they charge), how can you be this understaffed? Poor business practices and bad customer service. I will not return. You can't expect I would trust such an expensive hair salon with poor customer service in the future. *In response to Nikki’s Yelp response: The other stylists are $100/hr per website. Regardless, if you are busy, and have high traffic, there is no excuse for low staff and the inability for an existing or new customer to make or change an appt. I am sitting here for 3 hours trying to change an appt and can't! It's just wrong and unacceptable. I had this appt for 4 months. Appears I could have rescheduled with you for just a few days from now but I could not get a reply or conversation kept. She didn't call, only texted. I did call, and texted. No response. You also did not try to keep my business either. After this review the owner texted me and said this exactly: “ You do matter but not more than the current client in the chair. We appreciate your feedback and will take that into consideration moving forward. Have a wonderful weekend.” She stated the above after I told her I should matter just as much as any customer and it should not take over two hours to change an appt. No hairdresser that charges almost $200 an hour should be understaffed and have excuses for ghosting their customer by text or phone. They have one receptionist she said. Not once did they try to make this right and keep me as a customer. Hairdressers have business issues and this salon has awful customer service.

Yes, I was left unresponded to, multiple times. In text, by noon after they texted me at 10:14 a.m., I was ghosted twice, and still had no appt rescheduled. Never once did anyone phone me. Only text. I called twice, and no one called me. You keep saying you are understaffed. Okay. And I will keep saying that is unacceptable considering you are busy and charge high prices. Surely you can afford another receptionist. There’s no excuse. Someone should stop for a moment and make a phone call. But the reason you can’t is because you charge by the hour and the person in the chair will get pissed off if you stop and help someone on the phone because your one receptionist can’t handle it all. I think you need to rethink your business strategy because you lost me as a customer and have bad reviews. All platforms? No. Only two. And because you told me I was less important than another customer. I should be just as important.

Brevity is not the strongest nor is it the most stylish of my suits ,but I will endeavor to be concise for your sake.
It was 11:30am on a beautiful Saturday morning. I called the Hair Engineers and had an appointment scheduled right away at 1pm.
I walk in the door ,and was greeted promptly by my stylist, Alexis. She sat me sat me down ,and I described to her what I wanted.
She then took to me to wash my hair. Before I knew what was happening, I found myself on the receiving end of a WONDERFUL scalp massage. Yes reader, you read that correctly. I nearly fell asleep I was so at ease and splendidly relaxed.
Here I thought my stylist had taken a shine to me. I actually inquired ,and they give those luxuriating scalp massages to everyone!
The subsequent hair cut was fantastic. She absolutely nailed it. Alexis was very easy to talk to ,and it before I knew it, I was done!

I walked into The Hair Engineers looking good as I’m wont to do :) I left The Hair Engineers FEELING good (as well as looking better with my new awesome cut).

Read moreBest haircut in all my 39 years! Thank you Nikole. I had super long thick curly hair that was completely unruly that I’d just end up braiding every day of my life. I told Nikole I didn’t really know what I wanted other than layers to thin it out and to just do what she thought would look good. She went a lot shorter than I’ve ever had it before, and I can’t even believe how great it looked. It’s so easy to wash and blow dry now that my hair is actually straighter than it’s ever been my entire life. The way she layered it helped that as well. I actually have a hair style for the first time ever. All my other haircuts were 100% about how to manage my unruly hair. I never thought I could have one. Boy did she prove me wrong. I also had my brows done by another girl, and those turned out great. Sorry I can’t recall her name. On another note, the salon itself is adorable. They have wine if you’re into it, great music. Just a cool atmosphere. The prices are more reasonable than any other salon I’ve ever been to that’s that nice. I will never go to another salon so long as it’s open.
