The children’s library is amazing!! It all started with the 0-6 mth old classes and we just kept moving up! They offer so many classes and a large area in the back for children to play along side each other while being surrounded by books. This was a great environment that was full of kind and patient staff that made me feel comfortable as I taught my kids to use their library voices and how to play nice with other kids. The women at the desk always smiling at me! My children’s first teacher was Ms. Amy. I remember my kids and the other kids teetering over to the circular mats and pulling one out to sit on. As she read books to the little ears she used her puppets and would take them on an amazing animated journey . All the while teaching them to raise hands and listen with quiet patience without them even realizing. Now at 8yrs old my daughter is in a sewing class and we’ve used the math tutor services. My son at 11yrs ventures up to the adult section and is starting to learn all they offer for older kids. This library is managed...
Read moreNot bad, I loves libraries in general so I may be extra critical. A nice clean library, for the most part it's quite but the librarians can be a little loud and chatty. To be fair, i like to come here and their loudness is rare. There is a pizzeria right outside so you can always take a break and grab a bite to eat. Selection of books are very good. The selection seems geared toward middle and high-school kids, not that's a bad thing. My biggest complaint is that I can never find a table with an outlet in the middle like most other libraries. Maybe im not looking hard enough or im looking in the wrong section. I used one of their empty study rooms and one outlet was behind a huge file cabinet and the other was awkwardly across the other side of the room. I think rearranging some of their furniture would do wonders. Other than that, a solid library with...
Read morereference librarian was rude. could not help me find a book; "what's in the catalog and what's real are usually two different things" as an excuse. declared they must have lost the book at some point after searching for about forty five seconds. proceeded to insist I tell her about a writing project related to the book I was looking for and dismiss it basically as juvenile garbage with a passive aggressive "holier than thou" attitude -- as if I'm not a college educated adult writing peer-reviewed material. the experience had exactly three redeeming features: 1.) The air conditioning was a nice break from the heat. 2.) The lights were on. 3.) It's proximity to route 1 makes it very easy to leave this library following an endlessly disappointing experience and head to another one worth...
