Moo’n & Brew’n — Restaurant in Saugus

Very sad to lose the boba spot that was here before but figured why not check out a new business. Well- it’s a double disappointment losing a great business and gaining a nasty one. Sneaker marks on the wall as if an adult or tall kid had been laying on their back and putting their feet flat on the wall. Crumbs and random pieces of whatever all over the floor. Floor looks as if it hadn’t been mopped in a long time. Fridge in dining area was pretty gross. Coffee syrup bottles were left on the bare floor in the back. Exterior windows were grimy.

There was only one person running the shop so can’t speak to the service but definitely didn’t make up for it. A bunch of ‘sorry we only do one size’, ‘we don’t have that’, etc. I get that it’s a new business but basic things like having lids and different sizes of cups as well as a clean store is a bare minimum.

The vibe of the place is just barren, awkward, and ugly. Decor looks straight off of Temu or from the dollar store- I guess they are going for a rustic cabin and moose/bear vibe despite being a coffee & ice cream spot with a cartoon cow logo. There appears to be no thought into make the space inviting.

As for the food, I ordered a specialty coffee (salted caramel banana bread coffee with oat milk) and a slush. Coffee was barely decent and could only get a large which I believe was a 24oz. Only after putting in the order and paying was I informed that they didn’t have oat milk- no biggy but don’t sell something you don’t have, especially when it comes to non-dairy alternatives. The slush was actually just Richard’s Italian ice. Had I known, I would’ve saved my money.

Came in this morning for some boo bucket coffees (Potters potion and Hermoine’s harvest) and a breakfast sandwich and I did not leave disappointed! The coffee is flavorful but not sickly sweet and a great price for the size of the specialty bucket.

I got the “Honey Bear” breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. I would definitely come back to get it again.

The staff was friendly as well. There were only 2 people working when I went in and they kept the line moving as fast as they could. A small wait is a good price to pay for a great small business. I will be back...

I’m so happy Saugus has a place like Moo’n and Brew’n. I’ve had their Fluffy Sachem coffee, Blueberry Cinnamon Bun coffee, and a Brown Sugar iced latte. All have been so good! They have breakfast sandwiches and lunch now, and to say I was excited is an understatement. Finally someplace I can get a bagel and cream cheese with extra toppings.
