K-trinas taqueria — Restaurant in Saugus

We got some guac and chips, some veggie tacos and al pastor tacos. Honestly all the tacos were barely eatable and we barely ate them. The taste was not good. The veggie tacos are way too sweet. It just tastes like sweet potatoes with sweet caramelized onion in a tortilla. There is no salt cutting the sweetness and it just doesn’t work. They taste like dessert or something. So bad. My partner said his al pastor tacos were really bad. The meat was low quality. The guac and chips were good but expensive for the portion size. I hate giving a bad review but we were sad to spend $30 on food we couldn’t even eat. Total waste. I would suggest this business improve their veggie taco recipe and invest in higher quality ingredients/recipes with more flavor. I appreciate that they have a vegetarian option but it is...

First off let me say the people are so nice and I hope they improve as I want them to have success. However, the food is terrible and not made with care. The quesadilla was soggy and at the same time dried out like it was old before it was cooked, not made with care. The chicken and cheese was all mashed to one side so half of it was empty and tasted like a dried cracker. Obviously not homemade rice and beans, obviously from a box recipe, bland. I could go on. The salsa is bland and tasteless. The bottom line is im just an average white guy and I can go to Market Basket, buy the ingredients and make the same food far better at half the cost. It was $70 for two people for lunch and at that price I can't excuse such crap. I hope...

I really wanted to like this place since this is a new spot in Saugus, but it was very disappointing. We ordered:

-lengua tacos: absolutely bland, no seasoning at all. What happened to seasoning and salt?

-carnitas tacos: better flavor with a hint of sweetness. This was ok

-Al pastor: seasoning was similar to carnitas. Tasted like BBQ pulled pork instead. Didn't mind it but the flavor profile was just not there

-chips and salsa: skip it. Salsa was very bland and chips did not taste home made. Not worth $6
