Mort's Fresh and Local — Attraction in Scott Township

I am a HUGE supporter of local businesses and locally made and sourced items. I had been looking forward to stopping here since before it opened. Yesterday I had some time before an appointment and stopped in. It was apparently 5 minutes before they opened but there were people inside so I went in. The women behind the counter were not friendly and stared at me like I was crazy when I asked if they were open. When I asked if they had eggs, I was more or less scolded and lectured about the store offerings which did not include eggs. Basically, this was the most disappointing experience. Mort’s Fresh & Local is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. It’s been amazing to have an indoor farmers market feel with fresh food and goofies right down the street. I’ve tried the granola, yummy juice from 1:11 Juice Bar, the adorable and tasty micro greens, and some fabulous homemade food from Farmer x Baker!! Everything has been great!!
