They had a nice selection and had the furniture displayed nicely. There was only 2-3 other customers in the store, so it wasnt over run with business around 10am. My wife and I walked right past the front desk (where employees were sitting). We were never greeted by any employee nor asked if we needed any help with anything. Granted they gave us a chance to browse their inventory without being pushy or overbearing but, if you are selling a product, at least acknowledge your customers, if you want to make a sale. While I love Akins Furniture in dogtown, the local Scottsboro store isn't helpful. Not only was I not offered assistance, but I listened to them bad mouth a customer for requesting to buy pillows off a couch that did not come standard. Acting as if it would just wreck her day to order more. Customers are what pays for you to have a job. I think you might be a little friendlier and much more helpful and maybe the parking lot would not always be empty. Akins Furniture in Scottsboro was a wonderful experience. Terry was amazing and gave us a great deal. All of the staff are very kind and helpful and made the process buying furniture very simple and easy. The furniture delivery was a fantastic experience as well. They did a great job bringing it in the house and setting everything up perfectly.
