I took my lunch I had just purchased at a nearby Taco Bell to Caldwell Park to eat while soaking up the serene energy I feel there. The park offers a little piece of quietude because it blocks the sounds of traffic, ongoing construction, etc. I was aware only of the chatter of the squirrels and the tweeter of birds. There used to be so much more playground stuff to play on that was wood, not metal. When I say "used to be," I am referring to probably 20 years ago. I haven't been in this park in that long.
