Kim San Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Scottsboro

We had lunch here. After seeing all the wonderful reviews, I was hoping for a good meal. The restaurant reminded me of Chinese Restaurants from times past which was nice. The meal was proceeded by soup. My Wife and I both ordered the won ton. If you enjoy chicken bouillon with a noodle in it, this may be the place for you. Egg rolls came with the meal. These were very bland and mushy on the inside. If I could find a restaurant that made them from scratch, I would be a patron for life. My Wife ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was the buffet style, where it is deep fried strips with the sauce on the side. Worse yet, the vegetables (green pepper, onion, and carrots) we're just thrown on top...raw. If I could give less than one star, i would after the take-out order I had for supper tonight. Hot and sour soup just isn't the same without the won-ton noodles, and guess what wasn't in my bag when I got home... Yep, the dang won-ton noodles. Do you want to guess how mad my wife and daughter were? Madder than two wet hens. Thanks alot, Kim San. Then, I had ordered the cheesecake, guess what? No cheesecake, chocolate cake instead. If I had wanted chocolate cake, I would have ordered freaking chocolate cake. It's a shame but Chinese buffet restaurants in Huntsville tastes better than this supposedly made when you order restaurant. We’ve been looking for some really good Chinese food. Read several reviews that said this place was the best in North Alabama and some that said it was terrible. We’ve should’ve paid more attention to the bad reviews…because they are the accurate ones. The waiter was prompt and courteous, no issues with him. The food…hands down the worst I’ve ever had. I ordered the almond fried chicken. It was literally some bag chicken strips with brown gravy and almond slivers. Couldn’t even finish it. Nearest no count I’ve ever seen. Egg rolls were greasy and mushy. Cheese wontons were bland. All I can tell you is proceed at your own risk. If your expectations are extremely low, you may have a chance at leaving satisfied.
