I tried out all varieties of yoga/Pilates/fitness studios in Scottsdale, but upon finishing my first class at PhysioYoga Scottsdale, I discovered my dream studio, and it surpassed all my expectations. I not only signed up, I quit my gym for good. I get all my fitness needs met here.
PhysioYoga is the genius creation of Geeny Hanjuko, a master physiologist and fitness trainer who developed a method of healing the body through a combination of physical therapy, yoga, and a series of restorative movements that improve function, heal pain, realign the body, improve fitness and vitality.
I've been attending 6 months now and no longer experience the years of knee pain and shoulder issues I've suffered. I breathe better, my posture has improved, I have fuller range of movement, with a firmer body and weight loss. My only regret is not finding this studio sooner.
Geeny, her instructors, the studio and students are welcoming, extremely dedicated, friendly, and emit a positive energy and encouragement that just makes you feel good. This studio radiates a very positive and genuinely loving energy.
Another excellent feature of the studio is the variety of classes offered. You can choose from vinyasa yoga, 30 or 60 minute HIIT classes (phat burn), mat pilates, moving mediation and the GLORIOUS PhysioYoga classes. There are all ages of people attending, and all fitness levels. They are lucky people, and you could be too. Please give this studio a try and start healing your body and...
Read moreI love this concept! The owner was so knowledgeable & my body felt incredible after. I truly believe that this will improve my life significantly. I can't wait to see the results after being a consistent patron, giving me time to reverse the bad habits of sitting at a computer and looking down at my phone creating poor posture. (I'll try to remember to post my before and after pictures).
I have a series of diagnosed ailments, including muscle spasms, scoliosis, degenerative disc disorder, etc. Physical therapy has done a great job; however, I haven't seen definitive results in some areas. Even my trigger point injections were a bandaid getting shorter lived with each treatment. Desperate for relief and feeling like there was a link between many of my issues regarding posture, I found this company in my search for treatment. I will admit the first class I took was not easy! I couldn't believe how much pain (good type of pain) I was in, and I have a high tolerance. However, it makes sense because even my physical therapist, doctors, and imaging showed how my muscles and myofascial were so tense that they impacted my nerves. Just like with anything, I know the pain will let up as I continue to work on these areas. As I told my mother, it is a practice, no one expects perfection or ease at the beginning. I think this place will benefit anyone looking to have a healthier body...
Read moreGeeny is brilliant! As a busy dentist I’ve been experiencing neck and back pain and have searched endlessly for solutions. A good friend of mine suggested PhysioYoga and I’ve been hooked since my first class. My pain levels have drastically improved since first starting. I’m more impressed that Geeny immediately took notice of my posture and was able to summarize all of my body issues at my first session. She took time after class to show me ways to immediately help my neck pain in the gym which made a world of difference for me. I decided to pursue a personal training session with her and was blown away by her ability to diagnose all my other ailments and give me immediate feedback on how to fix those ailments through exercise. I’ve had all sorts of personal trainers, physical therapists, watched countless YouTube trainers and have read all sorts of exercise advice and nothing comes close to the attention to detail and advice I received in one session. Wow. I’m very excited to have found Geeny and her amazing studio (the other instructors are also fantastic) and I cannot speak higher of these wonderful...
