Update to her response at the bottom I generally don’t like to leave negative reviews, but my experience here was extremely disappointing and I feel taken advantage of. At first my it went well, Noel helped my skin clear up within a couple months and guided me step by step through text whenever I needed it. I was so grateful. Then, a few months later I went in for a check up and she put something on my skin that gave me an allergic reaction that lasted about a week, but I didn’t blame her and still wanted to work with her to fix it. However, she completely ghosted me when I was trying to seek guidance during that time. It left me feeling scared about what to do next. Now a couple months later, I ran out of her homemade cleanser that I bought from her and I tried reaching out to schedule an analysis and a time to buy more. It’s clear that she does not care about me or my skin, just my money. She up-charged the cleanser I was buying from her, knowing that’s the only thing that’s helped my skin, and claimed she “can’t help me for free” when I asked her what I should use in the meantime until I can buy more cleanser (when she did before and I was planning on buying a service and the cleanser ???) I’m not sure what happened, but I feel hopeless about my skin now. My skin now looks and feels worse than it did when I went in the first time. It saddens me that I have to find someone else to help me fix this because I really valued Noel’s knowledge and opinion, but apparently she only valued my money.
**Update to the response - What was also not mentioned is that she had sent me photos of 2 of her clients (hopefully with their consent) of their skin and said "there must be something in the air" when I expressed my skin concerns the first time - when I knew for sure it was a reaction to a product she used on me. I'm hoping she did not send them photos of my skin as well, as I was being vulnerable and only sending her photos to get her professional opinion. I'm not sure if this was meant to dismiss my concerns by saying 'look it's not just you,' but either way it was dismissive and also felt odd that she had sent me other clients pictures. She then stopped responding to me during one of my worst skin reactions even though she had stated we would "get it figured out." That's when I tried a new product - 7 weeks later - because I had ran out of the cleanser and also because she did not respond to my last message when I had asked her how long a reaction like that usually lasts, so therefore I felt awkward reaching back out as I was left on read. However, I did anyway because I had a negative reaction to the new product and really didn't trust anyone else's opinion on my skin at the time. I was going to book a service and purchase a new cleanser, so I thought she would still help guide me as she had in the past. However, it was clear to me she didn't know how to help my skin and luckily I found...
Read moreNoel has been my go to aesthetician for nearly a decade now, always tailoring every visit to my current needs, and I can always count on her for tough skin care love, to be straightforward with me about what products to invest in or pass by, and help me feel my best in my most natural skin.
Her studio is quiet and peaceful, modern yet cozy, with easy (and shaded!) parking. She is always willing to listen to my skin health concerns, review my current or potential product list, and share her science-backed skin care wisdom and advice. Even her social media is thoughtful and educational. I’ve never felt pressured to buy any specific line she carries and always know she will steer me in the right direction based on my own specific skin care needs.
I don’t even live in Arizona anymore, but this Chicago girl will make it a point to visit the best and most trustworthy aesthetician I have found at least 1-2x per year. She is worth the trip and every penny to invest in your best skin health. She’s seen all of my skin ups and downs, and has worked with me through it all. I can’t recommend Skin Studio enough. Thanks for always taking such good care of...
Read moreNoel has been taking care of my skin for years. I love the way my skin looks and feels after a treatment. Since I rarely wear makeup, skincare is a big deal to me. I love that Noel always recommends clean products, and I’ve never felt pressured to buy certain products for premium prices. If an inexpensive product works well, Noel will let me know about it. I love that. When my teenage girls started having skin issues, and the dermatologist was of no help, I brought them to Noel. She usually knows just what to do, and their skin always looks so healthy and clear after a session with her. She is educated about medical issues, too, and I can count on her to give better advice that the dermatologist. Noel truly is the best...
