Great visit! There is lots to see in this museum! Our visit was a little over an hour. They have a short video of the history of the area and trolleys. It’s a must see if you are in the area and visiting other industrial/train themed places.
That aside…I am severely limited with my mobility. There was clear parking where I could easily access the sidewalk with my electric scooter. Inside the building there were ramps so that I could see everything. Also, the bathroom had the handicap stall right inside the door. That is a huge plus! I can’t tell you how many places have huge bathrooms with wet floors and the handicap stall is at the back of the bathroom. If I don’t fall from my cane slipping on the floor, it is very difficult to get to the stall.

Read moreI actually love Trolleys 🚎! Growing up in Pittsburgh in the 60's and early 70's you get a real appreciation for them. You took them everywhere! Saying that, this museum does not have much for a Trolley enthusiast! Many a video playing in one room, pictures, an extremely well done refurbished Trolley and a gift shop. They were having a St. Patrick's day lucky coin hunt the day two of us were there (there were two other people in the museum ahead of us). If you found a gold coin, you received a free gift certificate for a future visit. Well, we found 7!! Now, we did not expect 7 free gift certificates, but 2 would have been nice. We could have given them to someone. But with 1, that expires at the end of this season, useless! We only come up this way...
Read moreSmall museum takes less than an hour to see everything and inexpensive. Very fun to also take the trolley ride that goes all the way out to Moosic, about 50 min. Museum is well curated, clean, attractive displays. Authentic (real) historic trolleys you can climb aboard and imagine living in the past. Very interactive, hands-on, kid friendly, even have a room geared towards young children. Definitely a great visit, worth your time if you like to learn about history or machinery, especially our local history. Very neat! Across parking lot from the Steamtown National Historic Site (interactive train museum), which pairs nicely for a full day of fun learning and exploring history and machines. Extra fun on May the Fourth each year, Star Wars characters...
